It's pretty wild how far it goes over their head how easily that could have been a 35-7 game in the third quarter.

Yes, and it's the same with our only other close game this year.....2 td's called back against us when we played Miss State....then another long play called back that would have set us up nicely in State Territory......Quite honestly, LSU should not have a win less than 10 points this year........some bitch about it...but that tells me a lot about the potential of this team. LSU has played one truly horrible team this year in Eastern Michigan......other than that, South Carolina is just 1 game below .500 and I believe they beat North Carolina this year...who is having a pretty good season. florida is 6-1, State is 5-2, Auburn is 4-2, and Syracuse is 3-3.

Dupre brought up a good point when asked about it: Since it was 3rd down, an interception that deep would have been just as good as a punt, assuming there wasn't a big return. Little risk, big reward.

It wasn't a hail mary in the traditional sense, but it was a bit of a fluke play nonetheless. Still, it's not like play was some bad decision by Harris that LSU got bailed out on. 3rd and long, late in the half, flushed out of the pocket. Might as well just chunk it up to your guy to see if he can make a play. It's either incomplete, intercepted or caught. In that situation none of those 3 potential results are all that bad. In fact, an incompletion would have likely been the worst of the 3 because I doubt the punter would have been able to pin UF inside the 15.

Ive seen countless Florida fans calling Brandon Harris scramble and 50 yard toss to Malachi a "hail mary".

It's how they rationalize the loss.

It was a broken play...just like when Treon Harris threw it over Jefferson's head (but without the blatant holding).

LSU was the better team on Saturday. LSU allowed them to stay in the game by making a few big mistakes.

It was a broken play that BH did a great job ad libing with, but it was not a desperation play.

Hell, half of Freon Harris's passes were hail mary's.

had it not been for 2 special teams frick ups that game ends 35-14 and we look even better to the media and the AP and Coach's Poll voters...

oh well, a win is a win. and sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.

Let them fool themselves into thinking whatever they want. They got beat in the trenches last Saturday. You can't fix or really scheme to beat a team that just physically overpowers your offensive and defensive line. If we meet in ATL in December it will be more of the same minus the stupid special teams plays.

It's really funny to think they are all over looking the fact that before this game they led the SEC in pass rush and claimed to have the best secondary. They got plain old fashioned beat.

A) how is it a hail mary when 2 of 4 receivers are running routes to the left-intermediate *until Harris scrambles and 1 receiver actually runs an out to the right.

B) Helluva a throw by Harris on the run too!!!

C) Good job by Chi to find a deep soft spot after seeing Harris scramble, 1 receiver on that side of field going back to LoS and Dural reversing direction to that side of field upon scramble. *He and Dural would have been too close if he had broken off back towards LoS.

You're an idiot. They didn't take their foot off gas.

If you couldn't see a difference in play calls between first and second half you need to look in the mirror for an idiot

You'd think a school that calls themselves DBU could properly defend against a hail mary

We did at the end of the game - we had 3 or 4 DBs nearby when Florida's hail mary came down (short of the end zone, BTW).

We haven't played Florida in the SECCG yet, only Georgia and Tennessee.

They didn't take their foot off the gas. Field position and penalties dictated field position. Why don't you go back and look at the play-by-play. The one thing that was going to get us beat was a dumb mistake deep in our own territory. Being smart isn't "taking your foot off of the gas."
