They want to be our rival

The fact that anyone feels the need to say this indicates they are. And why not? This whole "not our rival ha ha" thing is petty, stupid and makes us look like little bitches, TBH.

Rivalry: competition for the same objective or for superiority in the same field.

Sounds pretty accurate, and considering we play each other every year in a marquee matchup...RIVALRY. Why are so many people resistant to this idea?

Bama, Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, A&M, and State are all rivals too. DWI.

I heard they were giving the baseball team their rings at halftime too. Is this actually true? and am I the only one who thinks that it's in poor taste for them to do so? Is this a common thing for schools to do?

It makes sense to do it while LSU is in town so that fans that actually saw them win the championship can be there.

We'd better get revenge or I'm going to lose it. That and the Bama game.

There is such an extra emphasis on Homecoming games in the minds of the players. They always give what they don't put out in every other game of the year. They save it for thewir homecoming game. LSU doomed.

Love how LSU fans think Bama is their rival. Don't you actually have to win a few games for it to actually be a rivalry???. Florida is a much better team for LSU to pick as its rival

Bama,

We aren't a rival for them anymore. The rematch followed by the 5 year drought ended that.

Arkansas

Only in their minds are we a rival, and that's only bc they can beat us every so often in football.

Ole Miss

Maybe due to tradition.

A&M

See Bama, but in our favor. Not a rival. Not even close.

State

LOL. Again, see Bama but in reverse. Not a rival.

UF is close to a rival as it can get. And recently they've owned us in every sport, men's and women's.

If it rains they will probably try and cancel. No joke.

If LSU was doing what they are doing I would bet my life that the SEC commissioner would be on their butts in a jiffy. But since he is a dinkleberry up Florida's butts then we take it in the same spot. Otherwise Florida could honor their World Series team the first game.

Frankly I think this is the best opportunity to light up the Tigers, I am glad they chose this game to honor the CWS winners, perfect

Hopefully it will light them up. It's just the arrogance of these people. And the commish is one of them.

Actually homecoming games are more of a distraction and often have the opposite effect.

No doubt! Based on their CWS attendance, most Florida fans will be finding out about their baseball championship for the first time when it's announced at halftime.

I remember our first CWS championship. You only have 5 more to go to catch up.

Is Army/Navy not a rivalry? Ohio State has beaten Michigan 5 straight years-are they not rivals? Results don't dictate a rivalry.
