Oh maybe I misunderstood. How did he prove me wrong?

I read that as we aren't "flirting with disaster" since our margin of victory is pretty damn good and 4th in the SEC by a large margin.

I see it as UT and UK has a conference margin of victory that is double ours. They haven’t gone to OT 4 times and they didn’t lose to Ok State. They also readily BEAT teams they are supposed to beat and don’t let them hang around until the final seconds.

I see it showing that we are a solid team, but not quite elite. Stop taking it like I’m trashing this team. I’m not, I’m just reminding everyone and myself where our expectations began in November. I’m extremely happy with this season so far. Will Wade is in the very beginning stages of building something special.

They’ve won one NCAA tournament game in two appearances since 2006

This has nothing to do with this year's team who's coach is in his 2nd year here

Is LSU an elite program? Hell no but neither is Tenn.

As far as 2019 the only elite team imo is Duke with a healthy Zion. Everyone else has their flaws

I think everyone here would be thrilled with a 5-6 seed in the tournament. I'm just not sure why you felt the need to lecture everyone. Our record is what it is. We have a lot of toughness which allows us to win a lot of close games. That doesn't go away. We've proven we can beat anyone.

It's not like Kentucky is on some crazy different level than us this season. We stood toe to toe with them and won. We aren't perfect but nobody else is either.

You can group teams elite and solid all you want but that doesn't matter game by game what happens on the court. We control our own destiny in the SEC and we are almost to March. I'd put our guys up against any in the country right now.

Imagine how Kentucky felt after losing to LSU.... yea, kind of like LSU losing to Florida last night ...only difference was LSU hadn’t beaten Kentucky in Rupp Arena since 1980....the ole saying, you win some you are suppose to lose and lose some you are suppose to win... I’m pretty sure some if not most here that played sports have had that happened to them also...I for one have....

It was one conference loss in OT. Nothing has changed at all. If people seriously thought that LSU was going to win out then that's where the issue is, not losing a game.

Correct! Nothing has changed. It's a single loss and the Tiger still control their own destiny.
Nothing has changed. This team doesn't dominate teams. It survives them.
Anyone who would think this team could win out is ignoring the "cardiac" nature of our wins.
I will be pleasantly surprised if we make the Sweet 16.

This team has the right mix of players, that is why they are able to win!! In past years the close wins we have this year would probably have been a loss.

This team is mere points away from being a middle of the pack bubble team.

I agree with you that we’ve probably been more fortunate than normal in the amount of close games we have won, but there’s something to be said for this teams ability to play with anyone (at UK, verse UT without best player).

On the flip side, this team is also “points away” from a one seed. We win Houston and FSU, both of which were very winnable, and we’re on the 1/2 border. Win one of UF/Arky on top of that and we’re probably locked in as a 1.
