They don't want to be, and it isn't anyone that most people would know or think of anyway.

No that makes a lot of sense. Respect that.

I guess I sort of assumed that kind of money would be coming from an already public figure who wanted to leverage it for their brand.

Someone ponying up $50M just outta love for the program… that’s a lotta love bro lol.

They did this to T Boone Pickens at Okie St. he told them to make a billion dollars and they could donate it to whatever they wanted. He also gave the school a shitload of money but wouldn’t allow them to manage it. His team managed it and Okie St had to request it from the mgmt team as needed.

It wasn't just for the love of LSU. There's alot that goes in and comes out financially when LSU is winning. So it was for the city, the state, everybody really.

If I were a betting man, I would bet there's a healthy dislike for the former coach, too.

Then why not just spin the football team off into an independent entity and let the t Boone wannabes try their luck? I feel like, in the nil era, this is ultimately where we are headed.

It’s probably the guy in California who loves LSU football. If he pays, he should have an influence on who coaches LSU next.
