Fla State has 19 returning starters, they beat LSU last year. And they are picked to finish either 11-1 or 10-2 this year, depending on who you ask. Fla State has to feel confident, they’re a legit top-ten team. But this is not the same LSU team that Kelly was having to piece together last year when Kelly was just hoping to be competitive. This year, LSU has a much more explosive offense, Fla State doesn’t have a clue what’s coming their way.

I think this team is better at the beginning of season than 2019. See if they can improve over the course of the season like 2019 did.

Florida state had every advantage outside of home field. They played a week 0 game and needed several mistakes from LSU just squeak by with a 1 point win. Btw, an LSU team that had been severely depleted the year before and had a brand new coach in his first game. It will be a tough game but I like LSU this time round.

They would be a good fit in the SEC. Might be redundant. though, with FL already brining in a similar market.

If we throw for more than 30 yards in the 1st half unlike last year we should win

I think oline and dline is better. What separated the 2019 team was how much they improved as season went along. They didnt look like world beater against a not real good team

Fla State…has already beaten this same team last year

No they haven’t. By your thinking they beat the 2019 Tigers, and 2007, 2003 and 1958. Every year is a different team. No one has beaten this years team.

Bruh, what are you smoking...

Lsu scored 55, 45, 65, 66, 42, and 42 their first 6 games of the season. That's 52.5 ppg to start the first half of the season including 2 sec teams.

They finished the regular season, with all 6 teams being SEC west schools with scores of 36, 23 (sloppy rain game), 46, 58, 56, and 50. So a run of 6 sec west schools and LSU still averaged 44.8 ppg.

Then they went into the post season scoring 37, 63 and 42 points on SEC east champ Georgia, Big 12 Champ Oklahoma and ACC champ Clemson. That's 47.3 ppg against 3 of the 4 best teams in the country to that point.

LSU curb stomped everyone they played in 2019 (auburn was outgained in yards like 3 to 1).

It's hard to get better as the season progressed when you were literally the most prolific offense in college football history from start to finish.

Fla St. maybe a good team, but LSU has a chance to be a great team. I like our chances if special teams doesn’t implode like last years team.

FSU beat LSU last year after LSU played one of the sloppiest games it has played in years….by one point.

If you take that win off of their schedule, does anyone think this FSU team is ranked in the top 10? They beat absolutely no one but LSU last year and lost to NC State, Clemson, and Wake.

I think they are a good team but are being a little overrated this year. We’ll see in two weeks.
