Your lack of self awareness never fails to make me chuckle.

That’s not as easy as you think. If I guy doesn’t voluntarily give up his schools money you can’t take it.

You pretend as if making ridiculous excuses hasn’t been going on for years with Rant baseball fans but now because we have a new coach they’re not excuses anymore.

Scholarships are renewed yearly. You can pull a scholarship. It’s not the ideal thing to do tho.

Jay should’ve cut more players and signed different ones

Jay wasn’t in a position to do that, having inherited a team that made the SR, and never actually watching most of the team play in person until fall ball. Not to mention I’m sure he wanted to do right by the guys who’d been granted roster spots/partial scholarship by the outgoing staff.

Now that’s all over, and the roster will be purged.

Ok, I'll discuss. This is just not true. Of A&M's top 8 pitchers in terms of innings pitched, only 2 were significant pitchers from last year.

I don’t think that’s right. I believe you can only reduce or pull for certain reasons and on field performance is not one of them. If the athlete says no, they keep it.

How many were on the roster? I honestly have no idea

LSU just didn’t have the pitching to win a regional. ATM got some good arms through the portal. That’s basically the difference.

Of their top 8 pitchers 3 were on their roster last year. Those 3 pitchers had 32, 55, and 8 innings pitched last year.

Which means they had it this year. Last year doesn’t matter.

So, pitching.

One had it, one didn’t.

Schloss was way more familiar with the A&M roster than Jay was with the LSU roster. I think it took Jay almost all season to really learn the deficiencies that he should've addressed earlier - he was just working with what he had on the fly. Not Jay's fault, but he should be expected to address everything now. You really can't compare the situations just yet.

Let me say this again for the hard of hearing:

Schlossnagle is a proven, successful coach. His record speaks for itself. TCU does not have Vandy-type scholarship advantages, yet he won there. And now he's won at A&M.

This is his SIXTH team to make it to Omaha.

He was the best coach available and our boy Woodward did not even give him an interview. Woodward had to know how good Schlossnagle was because TCU teams beat the Aggies in the NCAA regionals twice when Woodward was there -- beat them in a Super Regional in College Station, too.

Schlossnagle wanted to come here. He made that known to some people (Skip Bertman, for one). He was willing to wait on Woodward, but the Aggies gave him a deadline. He knew all about the LSU job, especially from his days as an assistant at Tulane.

So yeah, he got a head start on redoing the Aggie roster, but whose fault was that? We waited three weeks to SETTLE for a lesser coach. Yes, I said lesser coach.

Woodward is no golden boy.

We have the #1 class in the country. Can’t judge a new coach in his first season. It takes time. Coach J is a great recruiter. He will make LSU great again. And quickly. Bank on it. Some people are always negative. God bless you, but I am very excited about this coaching staff. We will be great next year
