Schloss hit the portal as hard or harder than anyone. Made a massive difference. Their whole roster was transformed. I think JJ got here and saw a super regional team and decided to see what we had this first year. Schloss knew A&M was shite when he came in.

Schloss built the better team in year 1. I like Jay a lot, but Jim very well may be the better coach. Always like his TCU teams.

Schloss was hired 3 weeks before Johnson. Johnson wasn't able to hit the portal until July whereas Shloss had that opportunity early June. HUGE difference.

Johnson was in Omaha just a year ago. I believe he will get LSU there as soon as next season.
People want to compare us to what Schloss does this year, but they only won 2 more SEC games than we did. Good on them to get a national seed. We were a couple of games away from the same.

Schloss also only moved a few hours down the road. Johnson moved across the country.

Exactly.
Good for them, but LSU wasn't that far off either. I believe Johnson will have the better team next season. We shall see.

And that. It’s major in terms of getting on transfers early. We picked up a starting pitcher today. Teams still playing can’t do that. They are locked in on still playing.

Schloss recruited the same players as A&M. He knew the holes in their roster better than Johnson knew the holes in LSU’s.

Nothing to observe unless you’re trying to incite the excuse makers. Schloss had more success and got further with far less talent period.
