You may not know this, but there is a certain demographic that is obsessed with basketball and does not watch baseball. They make up 42,000,000 Americans.
You can’t really compare as if it was the collective mind of the national. Also, LSU, after never caring about WBB, is now overly into it due to the coach. Once CKM leaves, viewership will drop to nothing again.

95% of the time, a guy standing in the same spot throws a ball to another guy in the same spot, and nothing happens. And 7 other guys stand motionless out in the field, doing nothing.
Sorry, but the game itself, regardless of whether it’s LSU or anyone else, is terribly slow with far too little action.

They just don't want to admit LSU takes pride at being Elite in a sport the majority of the country could care less about.
Any other fanbase would trade in all 8 baseball titles for a single national title in basketball

Baseball is not, and never will be a draw at the college level. As parity sets in, as it did in football, it may draw slightly broader interest, but I would venture total viewership stays the same or drops.

I feel this way about basketball outside of the NCAA tournament being occasionally entertaining.
Traveling, carrying no longer called. It's just glorified street ball. Teams just jacking up 3's all day. The NBA is an unwatchable product.
