Agree. It's laughable to me that Xavier McKinney is being discussed above him

CEH would kill it in a system like Sean Payton's. I don't see him making his way down to NOLA, though, and that sucks. Cush is another story. I could see him coming in and moving McCoy over to guard where he could take over for Warford or possibly move that piece of glass Peat out of town. But, in actuality that won't happen either. I can see the Saints taking Jefferson if he fell that far, or Queen. MAYBE Fullton. This is a pretty deep draft for WR's and there are a couple of really good linebackers who'll be around at 24.

I'm surprised Delpit seems to continue to slip, he's as much of a low-risk/high-floor player as LSU has in this year's draft imo

I think the opposite is true of Delpit, he’s high ceiling/low floor. I heard one NFL draft expert, can’t remember who, describe him along the lines of “his ceiling is all-pro safety but his floor is fringe NFL roster guy”. They went on to say you turn on his tape and sometimes he plays like an all-pro and sometimes he plays like he can’t make an NFL roster.

Cush has the full package for a long time NFL Center. Some team will fall in love with him

Fulton wasn’t afraid to make a tackle unlike Greedy. I think Fulton is a first rounder.

I just happen to disagree. When healthy, there wasn't a more cerebral and competitive player on LSU's defense who really had no weaknesses. He could tackle, blitz, cover, diagnose, etc. He was all over the field.

That's why I said his floor was extremely high because he doesn't have any weaknesses when healthy. Will he get out-athleted in the NFL by some top players? Yes, which is why I wouldn't necessarily call him a guy with the highest ceiling. I do think he has a high ceiling but most every 1st Round Safety that's 6'3 and can move has a high ceiling lol. I still see him as a safe, high floor player in the NFL if he stays healthy.

I have no reason to believe he's fragile. He is a bit slight of frame and was injured multiple times at LSU, with ankle sprains and collar bone breaks etc. Looked to me like he had some concussions too. But he always played through them (when possible) and didn't have any types of injuries that would make me overly concerned.

I would say the weakest link was O-line? and they still won the Moore award

We did take quite a few sacks last year but there were also drives where they gave JB9 10+ seconds to pass.

Delpit was lights out his sophomore season. I think he read the press before last season and it showed early he just didn’t look good even before injury. He didn’t wrap up and took horrible angles and to top it off he gave up big plays. He looked better at the end of the season but with him not working out or running at the NFL combine really hurt him. The physical skills are there but the NFL is a preparation and putting in the work to become elite league so we shall see. I say late first but he probably falls to the second round.

Nothing against our offensive line but the joe Moore award shouldn’t be the calling card... runner up was OU who had their issues after having a fantastic OLine in 2017/18

Even if he’s not as good as Tre that doesn’t really say a whole lot. Tre is probably the best CB in the nfl right now. He could be a stud and not be as good as tre. I don’t like comparing players like this because it’s not really fair to Fulton who is a boss in his own right.

I think some of the disrespect for Fulton was due to having a generational CB like stingley on the other side. In the Texas game they didn’t throw to Stingley’s side after that near INT on the left sideline. That was probably Fulton’s worst game but it was week 2.

A lot of talk about him performing poorly against Clemson but I recall seeing a stat he only allowed ~50 yards against him in that game. If you want to criticize a potential first round CB in that game, AJ Terrell would have been better off staying home

He was also hurt in that Texas game on a dead play in the first Q

Agreed and if teams are dumb enough to let him slip to 45 and let Tampa Bay pair him with Brady - Evans - Godwin - Howard, then we all deserve to be cursed with another Florida team Super Bowl win.

Seriously though he would be perfect for them. If they want to make the most of getting Brady, they should target him. They draft at 14 and 45.

LSu's offense wouldve been excellent no matter the scheme.

Umm... What? LSU has had a lot of talent on offense over the years and it was grossly underutilized and wasted for the vast majority of the past 10+ years. We finally get an offensive scheme from this century (an amazing one at that), and you want to say that we would have had an excellent offense with the schemes we've had over the past decade-plus? Yeah, okay...

The stars just happened to align perfectly for us last year. Give credit where credit is due.

Love both these guys, but there is a zero percent chance either gets drafted in the first round.

The Clemson corners looked like garbage and were overrated. LSU's really good WR's and JB abused them all nite.

I watched a youtube about Terrell versus Chase. The first two plays Terrell got the best of Chase. Terrell has terrific cover skills and technique but after the first two plays Chase just showed how gifted he is. Chase is a great receiver and is just so physical that Terrell couldn't cover him.

It looks like you are taking bad angles when you’re playing on one good ankle

There’s plenty of tape that suggests/proves to nfl teams that’s not an issue when 100%
