As LSU is about to have a very prominent draft, I’ve spent more time than usual listening/reading NFL draft content. One of my go to podcasts has been “Stick to Football” with Bleacher Report’s NFL draft expert Matt Miller.

Their podcast today started off with a heavy dosage of LSU. They mentioned three prospects that they’re hearing a lot of buzz with around NFL team circles.

1) They said CEH is getting a lot of late first round buzz.
2) They said teams love Kristian Fulton. They had him as an early 2nd round guy but based what they’re hearing from other NFL teams and the amount of teams that have fallen in love with him, specifically for battling through an injury all year, they think there’s no way he doesn’t go round 1.
3) Cush is getting a lot of late first round draft buzz as well. Teams love his high IQ.

LSU has 8 guys that have a chance at going round 1. Obviously not all will, but that’s incredible.

After a season where the stars aligned like they did, these guys deserve it!

That LSU team last year was insanely talented. I like Brady but he sure picked a great team and QB to roll out his system with.

LSu's offense wouldve been excellent no matter the scheme. These guys can flat out play. What was the weakest link of the LSU offense last year?

Cush made his money at the senior bowl. He is early second rounder. CEH is the complete package much like Gary Danielson(yes I said GD) said during the Alabama game. The Bama game is where CEH made his money. CEH is second or 3rd back taken in this draft. Congrats to 2 great tigers

Fulton falls into the unsung hero category for 2019. He was clearly hurt most, if not all, of the year. But he persevered to stay on the field. He was targeted a ton and somehow still managed to play at a high level.

I think if any team truly thinks he is a 3 down back, he could go first round. Problem is I think they like the guy from O state as a more pure RB and or course Wisconsin guy has the stats. Will be about fit in the end I guess.

Honestly wouldn't surprise me to see cush go before CEH just because rb aren't as valued as they used to be

Was coming to say this.

After I saw Cush in practices stone-walling (certain top 15, maybe top 10) Kinlaw in every rep, I knew the earlier mocks with 3rd round projections would eventually come around to elevating his ranking.

Deculus. Seemed to have bad footwork a lot in pass protection, especially against speed rushers. If he ever makes it to the NFL, it will have to be as a guard.

I'm surprised Delpit seems to continue to slip, he's as much of a low-risk/high-floor player as LSU has in this year's draft imo

I still don't see Fulton as a R1 guy. He's not a Tre White or Greedy-level prospect. Just too timid and the tape doesn't lie, he got picked on and many WRs had success getting open. But it's a high valued position which helps his case

He was targeted only half as much as Stingley which also tells you something. His cover was much closer than Stingley.

Fulton tape looks a lot like Tre White. He's just as good imo.

He's safer than Greedy though.

Just about every measure says otherwise. Who exactly got open on him consistently?

A lot of bad to overlook with Delpit in 2019. His 2018 is one of the best defensive seasons in LSU history. I think he could go as early as 1.20, or as late as 2.40

No, this is just wrong. The scheme we had previously would have rarely used Helaire in the passing game, the TE would be almost non existent, and there would be very few passes over the middle that we used plenty last year to rack up yards and points in bunches.

Once Delpit got healthy, he returned to 2018 form. End of the year Delpit was awesome and was a huge catalyst for the defense shutting high powered offenses down at the end.

Anyone letting Delpit slip because he was hurt the first 2/3 of the year deserves to not get him. He will be a good one.

Wondering when will these guys get over the Wisconsin RB hype. Taylor will struggle with a team that doesn't create big holes for him.

Helaire is the most complete back in this draft, Swift is probably the early superstar, and Dobbins is probably the best pure runner.

Im a Delpit fan. I think he should be a top 15 pick or so.

I thought White was underappreciated at LSU. He got beat some like all the good corners do but I never saw teams pick on him. And he made a lot of plays

I would say Tre was a lot more sudden, faster, more physical and a little better tackler, played the ball better, displayed more confidence and It factor, and generally showed up less in a negative way in games during his career at LSU imo

I can't recall off the top of my head all of them but I was certainly disappointed in some of KF's coverage against Brennan Eagles and the TX receivers, Ross/Higgins definitely come to mind.

I'm not saying he was a bad player by any means, all I'm saying is he's not a R1 CB for me. Having said that, after Okudah there aren't any standouts and it's a high-value position so I could see that being what puts him into R1 if a certain team likes him.

I think I know what I'm getting with Delpit. Some of the missed tackles in the open field against big backs like Najee Harris are easy to overlook for me knowing his ankle situation. I am fairly confident he makes those plays when healthy because I've seen him make a lot more difficult plays in the past when 100%
