Ideal baseball conditions at 630
Why do they always make this way more difficult than it has to be?

The latest high-res guidance has it raining at 7. Sit this one out and let the big boys make the decisions.

I know how to read a radar, don’t need high res guidance. The bad stuff is gone. If it rains at 7, like they say, it’ll be scattered and maybe a light drizzle for a few minutes. It’s not rocket science

hrrr still showing a storm or two at 7. That’s a lightning delay which knocks Holman out the game. Is that what you want, or would you rather a delayed start?

Nights like this are when I wish Jim Hawthorne was still on the air.

He would get downright indignant if a game ran past 11PM.

I know! Let’s warm up a starter, maybe even have him pitch an inning and then get shut down for a while because of rain. Or be smart and start later when the rain should be gone for sure.

Extra drinks tonight! I'll do my part.

Forecast has winds predicted from WSW to SW light and variable at 8P-10P.

So in this made up fantasy land that you live in, once the rain stops the field is just 100% dry and ready to go? And the players are warm and we just jump right into playing ball?

So we just keep pushing back until there’s a 0% chance for 3 hours? Then cancel when its impossible? Or just go out there and frickin play ball like big boys?
