Haven’t played them in football since 2009
Haven’t played them in Basketball since 2017 (exhibition)
Haven’t played them in baseball since 2018.

Kinda sad. I would much rather play Tulane than Bethune-Cookman or New Mexico in Football. We do schedule them regularly in baseball, but still.

I was there at the baseball game in 09 when Schimpf and Dean hit back to back homers, then hit back to back homers again in the same inning. Believe they ended up calling the game in the 7th inning because it was out of hand and finals were coming up

“Hit that one off the light standard” as Jim said.

Edit: Sorry, just watched the clip. Hanny with the light standard reference.

I was in Zephyr stadium when they beat our arse in the Super Regional. That was a fun atmosphere.

Tulane has had ups and downs so far this season. Series wins over LA Tech, Miss St., Southeastern LA, but are coming off a series where they got swept by Evansville

should be a good game. any idea who we pitch?

It is sad that Tulane’s administration hasn’t given one frick about sports for many years now.

Tried to kick sand in our faces many times and got their asses kicked.

They deserve what they get.

Mediocrity

Somehow they always thought they were negotiating with LSU from a position of power

Frick those liberal douches. Grew up in Nola and their isn't a more worthless fan base. All they do is exploit Tiger fans charging an arm and a leg for the tickets when we play their sorry arses. Frick em. They didn't want to do a two for 1 in football. They think they are something that they are not.

What was the year when we played a double header against them in the regular season and the two teams damn near got in a brawl? Believe a Tulane pitcher intentionally beaned someone and an LSU batter "dropped" the bat mid swing and it flew to the Tulane dugout. Dudes got ejected from both teams and were banned from playing in the 2nd game. I remember expecting a fight after the 2nd game but it somehow ended about as amicably as it could.

Should have never left the SEC. Got scared of competition and left to find easier path and walked away from a solid conference.

Not as sad a schools being so hyperfocused on them to the point that they admit a bunch of dim bulbs, troublemakers and people who really care little for an actual education, just because they are athletic.

I know times have changed, but even after Tulane left the SEC LSU and Tulane played home and home in basketball for 14 years or so. While that's out of the question I have no idea why we rarely play them in basketball anymore. We typcially play some just terrible non-conference teams. We should be able to make room for Tulane.

I wish we played them in football 6 or 7 times a decade.

"Tradition"? That "tradition" died 30 years ago. The weenies have never sold its allotment of tickets to games in TS. If they don't care, why should LSU? When is the last time anyone saw a weenie wanting to play a game, here or away? And any time a dispute has arisen,to where games are cancelled, it's been tulane behind the dispute. It was tulane who was responsible for Skip shutting down the Winn Dixie Challenge. etc etc etc

Toolame's problem is one of self importance.
Played them every year home & home in baseball until they wouldn't let COX broadcast their home game as usual, rather expecting the LSU fans to sign up to their game package..& they forgot to tell LSU what they were doing. Their websites thought it was funny getting to screw LSU, until it blew up in their face when CPM pulled the home & home.
In football, they expect home & home or if pushed, 2 or 1, with their game played in their high school stadium.
Don't remember what happened in basketball.
