I have heard this a few times? Is there anything legit to this? Is it Title ix mess or not reporting sexual harassment? Would it be kinda like what Kansas used to ditch Miles?

Conduct detrimental to the brand/program. Pretty easy case IMO.

So LSU would owe him 0?

I'm sure there's a conduct unbecoming clause in there. Then his lawyers and our lawyers fight it out and come up with a settlement everybody pinky swears never to talk about.

We've been doing an internal investigation for *insert number of months when we fire O* and found that O was heavily involved in the Title IX situation and thus must be fired.

They’ll negotiate and end up paying less

I think that would depend on how hard O fights. I’d imagine they’ll offer him something in the 5-8M range to just make it end quietly and clean. If he fricks around and tries to get more, they’ll bury his arse with Title IX, PR issues, coaching relationships, etc.

Cause can be anything they want to fire him for. Whether or not that reasoning would hold up in court is another story, so they need to be sure that they have their ducks in a row.
Every coach has a Moral Turpitude type of clause in their contract, so they always have that in their back pocket if need be.

So no specific items in his contract (causes) that we know about?

Title 9 stuff, recruiting violations this we self penalized a bowl ban last year, morality cause with his behavior towards the public this year

Didn’t he bang a student assistant/instagram model on video and then shout out “Geaux Tigers!” at the peak?

Failure to report is a Title IX violation and could be his demise even if LSU doesn't act on it against him.

LSU should have moved on when the allegations and implications became public.
