Don't be surprised if Brennan transfers. Just be prepared.

offense ran well with Myles until they got to the Redzone

No commitment to the run and horrible play calling will do that.

This. We don't need any melting. Max will become an NFL quality starter at some point. Brennan will be successful elsewhere.

If you start Max you immediately lose Brennan and depth goes from great to zero experience fast.

If someone has a clear advantage, this shouldn't matter. Let the best man win the job. If it is Max, and Brennan transfers, so be it. Nuss would be a more than capable backup.

If the OL is solid, Myles will get the nod. He is a better passer. If the OL is just okay then Max should get the nod. His mobility will help a ton.

Max's footwork and mobility helps the OL performance. Max leverages the OL blocks more effectively than Brennan.

Finley transfer, Brennan the sure starter?
Max > Brennan is my bet. He won the job at the end of the year. Plus he has more upside.

Really he won it from Brennan? Who had a season ending injury. OK, I like all of the QB's. But if Max wins the job and misses a game from an injury I don't think he loses his spot as a starter.

Max and Brennan still competing
My guess is we see both this season

Then nuss and Howard are lined up to battle it out for future

I have a lot of confidence in Nuss as a backup going into the fall. I know he made a few mistakes in the spring game but those mistakes are easily fixable especially for a guy with a high ceiling like Nuss.

I still believe Myles B. is QB1 and Max J. Is QB2. I think Coach O is an honest person and told Finley that if he wants to start it would be best to look elsewhere. The writing was on the wall. I’m sure the Finley’s saw how Max played to end the year and they know Myles ability. Follow that up with the new comers we have coming in at the QB position. Finley was never going to see the field at LSU again.

LSU can win their 1st 4-5 games with Brennan as their starter. I believe he'll start, and Max will get some reps. If the game is on the line perhaps they give Max the nod because of his mobility.

LSU can also win their 1st 4-5 games with Max starting but most likely Brennan transfers out. Then we are left with a True freshmen Nuss as your only backup.

Zero experience????? Max has basicaa as lily just as much experience as Myles.

Read the post again. He said if MB leaves, depth has no experience. Meaning Nuss.

Its a pretty safe assumption that it wont. Nothing against TJ, But Max/Nuss/Howard are all closer to Fields than TJ is.

I’m not talking about style but results
Fields was a high draft pick. Fromm will likely never play much.

There is no guarantee that Max, Myles and Nuss will be even college successful. We are only hoping.

This scenario scares me the more I think about it. We then only have Max Johnson that likes to run a bit and will take some hits and a true freshman QB that also like to scramble and will take some hits.

Nuss will not be the backup for very long.

While that's true; Based on what I saw in 2020 there is a much higher likelihood that Max will be successful than TJ.

Maybe Ill be wrong.

The coaches don’t favor Brennan, Coach O clearly favors Max , this is not ,,well it’s Myles’s turn situation

what scares me is if max wins the job and myles immediately transfers, leaving us one injury away from a true freshman starting at QB again
