That second half was an anomaly. Definitely a case of looking ahead by both the coaches and players. We did enough to win and that was it. I expected a way worse shite-show based on what I read here this week.

We come out inspired, prepared, and confident tomorrow.

You expected worse than 15 total plays and 3 passing yards in the second half?

Not sure how you can defend that second half of offense. It was unwatchable.

Why are you so late to watch it? I assume work, but dang.

The 2nd half was pretty damn bad... Not sure how its defendable. I know LSU was vanilla but the fact was Burrow was getting hit all game and we couldn't run over an inferior SE team.

Hopefully we don't do that again moving forward

Those kinda games just happen. Doesn't mean crap about what kinda team we are. That was the Super Bowl to southeastern.

None of those dropped balls and poor protection effected the outcome of the game. All of the focus on the poor offensive performance and very little mention of how loose the defense was. Tighter defense would have given us the ball more. Was really surprised how much our defense was bending for an FCS team.

What?

The offense was a thousand times worse than the defense, the offense can't get first down's vs SE?

We are blaming the defense now for the offenses ineptitude?

and a much more crisp offense would have given the defense more of a breather.

They had 45 offensive plays to our 15 in the second half. That’s beyond pathetic.

That's what happens when the only thing your offense excels in are 3 and outs.

I expected more from the defense.

There is no way to defend that shitty offense, but we would have had a larger sample size on offense if we don’t let them have so many first downs.

Just not ready to melt yet.

I'll say this much, before the season started, many said that a few would seek to blame the defense for the failures of the offense.

I don’t want to be in that camp.

Like the other poster said; however, their 45 offensive plays to our 15 is peculiar.

Looked like the entire team took that second half off.

The defense let them stay on the field a long time in the second half. They did play tons of backups in the front seven after halftime though.

See for yourself.

Actually you should rewatch the 2nd half vs UM and decide if really an anomaly.
Maybe an anomaly that it was even a much worse performance vs a frickin FCS program?

This. The 2nd half performances were mirror images.

How anyone can watch that game and brush it off is beyond me.

Look at time of possession....because we had 3rd stringers on the D....we had very few offensive opportunities

Re watch it...

They were making first downs and driving the length of the field in the 2nd half...

LSU had 2 possessions in the 3rd...and 3 possessions in the fourth.....
