I thought Sundays line up was outstanding, literally zero holes 1-9.

1. Kling RF
2. Morgan 1B
3. Crews CF
4. White 3rd
5. Jobert LF
6. Thompson SS
7. Jones DH
8. Neal C
9. Dugas 2nd

What’s y’all’s thoughts?

I think Jobert will end up platooning some depending on match ups, but seems legit otherwise

Dugas does not need to be 9th.

If Kling takes the leadoff spot, please give me Dugas behind Tommy White. Right now we haven’t found anyone to protect White in spots that he could be pitched around.

I agree.

I know everyone doesnt care about Morgan being on 1st, but his defense is 20x what anyone else brings to the position.

Getting White to third is massive, allowing Jones to DH.

IF Jones continues to hit bombs like he did this past weekend, he needs to be behind White.

100% agreed.

Helluva problem to have, nonetheless.

Flip flop Jones and Jobert in the lineup, with an outfield platoon based on pitching

No thankyou on dugas hitting 9th and no thankyou on jobert hitting 5th, if anything, those two should be swapped. Also, there is nothing final. Guys like beloso and nippolt will mix in like they have been

In 2015 Mainieri had Stevenson hit 9th and that worked out pretty well.

Looks like Jay is trying to force a lineup to break up RH and LH bats as much as possible but it may be best to have Dugas in the 5 hole and move everyone else down 1 strictly based on production.

They will still have to tinker a little bit to play the hot bat. Jobert, Beloso, and Pearson being the 3 in the mix I would think. Mostly Jobert and Beloso but I would still like to see Pearson mix in some.

Can have Morgan in LF, Jones or Beloso at 1B with the other at DH. If it is Jobert or Pearson they would just play LF.

Sundays lineup was legit. That’s what we will roll with into SEC play

1.) crazy arse lineup - just wow.

2.) I'm not sure how Jobert will fare against elite SEC pitching. anything under 90mph, he's taking it 500 ft., but if there's a stud pitcher he's going 0/5. I don't know who would replace him in LF though

Jobert does not need to be in the lineup. He is a huge liability at the plate, and frankly, he is really not very good in the outfield. Give me Pearson instead.

I like that. I would probably swap Beloso and Jones just to break up so many RH bats. That would put together a lot of Ks with Jones and Neal back to back though.

I really don't think they have much of a right/wrong way to put it together after the first 4.

I think your best lineup has Ethan Frey in it, he just hasn't gotten a ton of playing time.

There's a reason he's the first guy off the bench almost every game.

Would love him to get some starts at DH.

Through aAll this debate we have to not play Skenes an accomplished hitter in his own right.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Frey get a shot at DH

Jones will likely be hit or miss in SEC play. He had a string of strikeouts a few games ago. Dugas is a proven hitter at this level that has shown he can drive in runs in key moments.
