He's not been good this season offensively, shooting under 30 % on both FG and 3Pt shots. Of course, the lack of playing time may be part of that. He has been in 17 games averaging 10 minutes per game.

Plus he was not good last year either. He just is what he is at this point

I think he can't get out of his own head. I was hoping for much more from him.

What happened to jalen cook

He was never as good as advertised. Solid SEC player but not so good as to receive the shot diet he does.

I watched some of his games at Tulane. Same concept happened there where he just goes tunnel vision and takes bad shots. Difference is he was playing in a worse conference.

I think Cook's potential and when he's hot is clearly the best player on the team. But it's a double edged sword.

I'd argue he was the reason we beat Arkansas. But outside of that he was underwhelming. He was trying to play through his shoulder injury, and he just hasn't been the same player sadly.

To many shots blocked at the rim, true sign that LSU lacks athleticism

He doesn’t make the people around him better is the problem. If he’s hot he’s great because he gives you scoring. Other than that…..

Either he thinks he's better than everyone and won't give the ball up or he feels like he has to carry the team. Either way, it is hurting his game and the team in the process.

When Trae fouls, he does it with conviction.

Yep. Rarely fouls a shooter who actually scores.

If you are going to foul, don’t hurt anyone, but also make sure they don’t score.

Baker was in the lane, then ran out of the lane to allow a dunk

Does this dude not teach them to stop the ball on the fast break???
