Not proclaiming innocence or guilt, but was there ever any hard proof he did these things or just he-said she-said?

Idk, the shite he was accused of from multiple girls is some pretty terrible shite. I think people would be disgusted regardless of his skin color.

What about Joe Mixon? We have video of his assault and nobody seems to care anymore. Guice and Mixon are comparable players when healthy, which neither seems to be a whole lot.

The same way we do since he’s black. White people typically don't tend to automatically defend shitbags because they’re the same race. I have as much use for a thieving, black crack addict as I do for a thieving, white meth head.

Also, the much larger number of white people killed by police? Don’t really give a shite about them. Same as I do the black ones.

He was charged with a felony that carried a lengthy prison sentence that he plead guilty to and got a deferred sentence if he took anger management classes and other counseling.

Guice's charges were straight up dropped and he hasn't admitted to anything.

First, Guice was initially charged with agg assault, just like Rice was. Rice's charges were ultimately dismissed too, after completion of pre-trial diversion program. Guice still has domestic assault charges pending for three separate incidents. If he goes to trial and is found guilty or if he also accept a plea of diversion, would that change your opinion?

Is he going to be banned for life for misdemeanors?

for a pattern of behavior, sure he very likely will be blackballed. If he were a franchise QB, maybe someone would give him a shot. If he were a perennial all-pro player, maybe. But a guy that has played in a few career games? Doubtful. Guys with less going on than Guice have had off the field incidents destroy their career before it started.

Mixon has been healthy enough for 20 times as many touches. This arrest, plus the LSU stuff, plus the numerous injuries make him untouchable.

because it happened his freshman year of college, not after he was already in the NFL. It was also an isolated incident. Mixon wasn't facing charges of a pattern of domestic assault on the same person over time. Yes, people tend to forget things that happened before they were in the league more so than after.

Guice also has a whole lot of other attention with the LSU Title IX sexual assault (rape) stuff going on. NFL owners are not a Court of law. They don't have to pay someone to play for them because a guy has only been charged with several misdemeanor assaults. Do you really think a guy who has been charged with beating his girlfriend multiple times and is also facing multiple allegations of rape while in college is the type of guy any GM is going to take a risk on? Not to mention, he hasn't played football since tearing his ACL. So he has off the field issues, very serious sexual assault allegations, and injury concerns....and people are wondering why he might not get a shot? Seriously?

Rice was on film and was 32 by the time he was cleared. A very cheap 25 yo may be worth a shot. Either way, he’s on my bench until there’s no chance.

Can I say I told you so yet? All the people on here convicting Guice before any investigation were pathetic. It will be the same thing with the Title IX bullshite.

Ray Rice was an all-pro running back and never saw the football field again after being charged with domestic assault against a woman that later became his wife. It would be highly unlikely Guice gets a second shot after the media attention this received

That Ray Rice video was seared into the memory of everyone who saw it. If it had simply been charges and allegations he would have had a much better chance of coming back.

Look, it’s not me that needs convincing, it’s 32 NFL owners. If someone gives him another shot, good for him, but the chances are slim to none whether you think it’s fair or not.

To be fair, Ray Rice was on video dropping that bomb.

To be fair, Guice has multiple criminal charges still pending and a Title IX lawsuit with rape allegations against him

Not saying Guice should be given a chance to play, especially with what he has done. But the league lets a guy like Tyreek Hill continue to play (persistent and documented wife/child abuser), so I wouldn't necessarily put it past them.

Let's not get carried away. Guice clearly has a major problem that is destroying his career.
