Face it a good portion of season ticket holders are old, I mean old! That is why they do not show up at other home games. They need to give up the tickets to others that will support the team. It has been this way for a long time. We are not Bama, Michigan, Georgia, or Ohio State. We want Saturday night games just not too late or too early.

If I don't like a movie, I walk out. If I don't like a game that I paid $$$ to watch and enjoy, I do the same.
It's simple, if they don't want to play, I don't want to watch. No effort on their part results in no interest on my part.

Maybe don’t have an 8pm kickoff.

The real fans from back in the day were priced out a long time ago.
It is this and this alone that started it. TAF came and fricked it up for the real fan who would kill yo be there.
Across the board....parking, tailgating, entry, concessions, memorabilia etc has absolutely made it a joke to think pricing keeps real fans away and in front of a 70" TV at home.
frickING LOUISIANA AND BATON ROUGE STILL, AFTER 30 frickING YEARS, CAN GET THE TRAFIIC EAST BOUND FIXED...NOTHING, ZILCH, NADA...GELL, IT'S GOTTEN WORSE

I watched football all day yesterday. Georgia and Alabama stadiums were absolutely packed until the end in blowout games. Our “fans” who go to games aren’t what I would call fans. Imagine being a recruit considering LSU, Georgia, and Alabama. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that Death Valley is dead, but it’s certainly on life support.

I was sitting next to a LSU guy at the UCLA game that left at halftime. The game was still in contention at that point. I can’t imagine flying over a thousand miles, getting a hotel for the weekend, buying good tickets then leaving at halftime. A bitch move if you ask me. They should make you scan your ticket on the way out so these asshats and corporations that are locked into season tickets are forced to give them up if they leave early.

It’s because football sucks now. It takes 4 hours to play a 60 minute game.
Sponsors and advertising have ruined college football.
I couldn’t imagine what it was like to have a tv timeout just for your team to come out and take a timeout then basically sit there in the stadium with no action.
One play, time for a timeout. shite is boring and terrible to watch.
And every time a break happened you could hear them crank up the shite rap music in the background on the broadcast. No one goes to the game to listen to that shite for 4 quarters.

I think college football is on it’s way out over the next two decades.
Just my opinion, but I think the timeframe is closer to 10 years. Different demographics, different culture, different interests. Am I incorrect to say that young people don't have nearly the same enthusiasm for football compared to those of us who greq up in the 1970s?

I stayed until the last play and had a 2 hour drive home once on interstate. I can tell you....when I laid down, I kind wish I had left early. The last 5 min was gut wrenching. Then traffic then the drive home, it sucks.
Whole no hotel thing...just sucked.

Perhaps they arrived early as requested, watched the team warm up, watched the band take the field, sat through umpteen 3:10 commercials, and around 10:30 said enough is enough.
Those of us that stayed until midnite deserve a medal though. If we hadn’t stayed the TV cameras would have had little to show.
Congrats to the students. They stayed too.

Alabama's stadium was NOT packed at time time during that game. The upper portions of both end zones had tons of empty seats.

This is the dumbest type of post I see here. You believe Bama needs folks in the stands to beat other teams? Do your job.

I can only speak for myself. I went to most home games from the mid-80’s through the early 90’s. The games weren’t on TV every week (Tiger Vision doesn’t count). Tickets were around $25, there was no irritating pumped in music, and traffic was bad, but not unbearable. You could park in the paved, stadium lot for free.
The disappearance of the above reasons, along with just getting older, is why I don’t go anymore.

Maybe it’s the constant 3 minute TV timeouts

In. Wife threw me outside during the Jamie Howard pic six game.

Bunch of tourists at the game. Guy next to me was from Texas. He said he brought his family as a bucket list trip.

We have generally sucked for a decade. Like an old man, can only get it up once in a while for a hottie, and finishes too soon.

It’s not fun to watch. Really. Never thought I’d be here. Too stressful and not really enjoying it. O looks like “when will they figure out I’m clueless.”
