I went to the WVU game last year, sat in front of a very nice WV couple and had one of the most delightful experiences at a game. We teased each other, had great conversations and they were gracious with our bragging once the conclusion was inevitable.

If the rest of the fans can act like that at home, then I am jealous of those tigers who are going up there

I'm telling you, it's a different experience. Only a certain portion of their base can shell out the money to fly to LA ... and it's not the one who wear the "West fricking Virginia" tees.

Oh, "Wild...Whites" is one of my favorite films of all time, as quotable as Airplane, and I'm looking forward to hearing all the stories here from the fans who travel, but I'm just saying at least two of them should be good eggs. so good luck with your seating, fellas!

I don't. their OC said that they will throw 30 times in a 1/2. He is from Okie State and he is not kidding. they are EXTREMELY talented at wideout and now their QB has a year under his belt. Something tells me this team will be far improved.

Leading up to the game I'll put up a list of things to check out around Morgantown ie places to eat, etc..

Can't wait. I will be there. As I mentioned ealry on in the thread there are some good peolpe there that I now call friends. I met the one of the alumni big shots in Charleston and a guy in the Athletic Department the thursday night before the Marshall game. we had a few drinks, i gave them information on travel to BR and tailgating, etc. they had a great time and invited me up to watch the game with them in Morgantown. My best friends live in Fairmont, so I am set. just gotta tie this trip to work and I am GONE!

1) As the game gets closer, other WV fans and myself will post things to do, places to eat, etc. If you have any questions now, I'm more than willing to help out though.

2) Yes, we have a great/mean fanbase. A lot of people have compared it to LSU, including Auburn and Mississippi State who have visited in recent years.

3) No, you won't find too many people like the Whites. They're the biggest trash in WV and I'm sure that you won't see much up here that you can't see down in the bayou.

4) It's easy as hell to get a beer around the stadium. Don't know where that one came from. We're the #1 party school in the country. Beer is what we do

This is a best case scenario. We line up with our 3-2-6 which allows us to put our most talented and deep positions on the field. I'm worried about how our DL will hold to our smashmout opponents.

WVU's line sucks. I saw Jenkins when he was at P-Burg play Cabell Midland where the Bowers kid was from. Neither of them would have stood out in LA high school ball and they both start now.

Jenkins is hit or miss, and Bowers doesnt start...our OL is what sucked the most these last 3 years, hopefully the new coach brings better results...

Stadium isn't on campus. It's next to the medical school, but you're not going to be tailgating on campus unless you're in the coliseum parking lot. And yes, you can drink anywhere

I went skiing in West Virgina and loved the drive over. Their flattest area is more mountainous than our highest.

Met tons of West Virginians when I lived in DC. All were pretty normal and I appreciated that they were Southern compared to the normal DC types.

They burn couches after big wins. They celebrate college football there. I believe the comparisons to LSU.
