Consider yourself lucky. My mother in law has asked, “What inning is it? during an LSU football game.

Today I learned that Joe Burrow is not going to enter the NFL draft because he does not want to play for the Bengals. This was stated as absolute fact.

It is?

When people ask those type of questions, I don’t engage.
I may give them the rundown of the basics, but I change the subject because whomever it may be, won’t be able to keep up with the conversation.

These are probably the same people who would have an opinion on every penalty if you watched a game with them and sound ridicules in their comments.
Also, most of these people post on the scoreboard during the game.

I just tell people like that...”google is your friend, ask him”

So, your in-laws have no interest in LSU, but they know that you do because it’s probably the most important thing in your life (which is sad). Then they make the effort to try to ask you about it in order to have a conversation with you, because you probably are terrible at having conversations outside of things you love like LSU, and then you come here and complain about it?
Yeah, they sound like the ones with the problem
Another pet peeve I have is false assumptions people make about others.
1. My in-laws are deceased.
2. My father in law played for LSU and my wife wears his “L” letter on a necklace so both her immediate family, my siblings and my sons love LSU.
3. I have always told employees I supervise that my top priorities in life are 1. My faith. 2. Family and friends 3. Fun, with includes LSU football.
4. I am guilty of using sarcasm. Sarcasm doesn’t translate well over the internet. Likewise, the Rant would not be a place I would come to with a serious “complaint”.
I will complain about internet police who lecture me on what I should write and attempt to describe me like they know me.

I have a friend who goes to school in Mandeville.
Our HC at MHS was one of the famous Alabama "Junction Boys" of Bear Bryant.
I played freshman, sophmore and junior years, before wising up and concentrating on what I knew would realistically land me a scholarship to LSU.
We moved to Fort Walton Beach and I switched to band full time because my new school in FWB (Choctawhatchee) had one of the best marching bands in the USA/Florida.
No regrets there, because I indeed went on to play in the GBFTL and got the full LSU experience from down on the field that only football players and band members get!...…...

This kind of thing doesn’t bother me. However, when someone tells me after seeing me in LSU gear, that they too, are huge LSU fans. Then follow that up with “how did their football team do this year?”.......
Seriously. WTF???
Seriously. WTF???

They could come over and watch the games and question the play calling. I’ve had one say we should bench our QB this year.

Cool dude. I’m going to the game.
