Nice to see these again. Thanks for everything, Scuba. It's good to see the newcomers get some hits, we'll need all the offense we can get this year.

Pap also threw out Robertson on the backend of a double steal. The only steals attempted against him.

That's good, I was trying to keep up with some of the players this summer and Addams had some ugly numbers. Struck out a lot and hit like .170 with no power. He has ideal size for first base but maneri won't hesitate to play someone with a better bat at the position.

There is no doubt about this. The last few 1B have been Chris Chinea, Mason Katz, and Tyler Moore.

None of those guys was a 1B by training or size, but their bat kept them in the lineup.

What is realistic to expect from this group? Top 6 in conference, host a regional? Is that too much? We lost a ton of offensive production and defense.

I'm happy to see Deichmann carrying over the momentum he built over the summer. He started off reaaaaaaal slow (to be expected after that much time off) but was hitting consistently, drawing more walks, and striking out way less at the end of the summer. Stole a bunch of bases too.

That should never be too much to expect no matter what year it is.

I have no idea what to expect out of this team, there are just so many unknowns on hitting and defense. We won't be coming from behind to win as much as last year, but the good news is that our pitching staff should be one of the best in the nation, so we won't need as many runs to win games as we did last year.

Bregman's WAR last year was probably insane. Replacing him on defense is going to be huge. I'd imagine his runs saved metrics were off the chart.

Bregman did make a ton of crazy plays and made them look easy, we'll definitely miss him. I've heard good things about Dawson though, hopefully he can help to fill the void at SS. Replacing Stevenson and Laird will be another challenge, they rarely committed any errors.

he had 4 MLB pitchers, juniors Katz and Rhymes, senior Nola, and couldn't beat stonybrook...

he claimed Newman (our best reliever) wasn't good enough to face more than 5 hitters in the CWS... put in Godfrey (our worst reliever) in the most critical situation in the tournament... goes full retard with starters having to play 3 games in 5 days when 3 games in 3 days happens 12 times a year... watches on the sidelines as two of our players go 2-fer the post season and doesn't make a change...
