LSU's defense is so bad, offense is always in "must score" situation. Great for JD5 but bad for winning championships.

He did solidify a first round pick last night. I think top 10, Michael Vick comparisons will dominate conversation.

You’re right, they would probably not try to score as hard as they do if the defense was good

Pennix, Nix and Williams play in shoot outs every week too.

It doesn’t really matter how you look at it. The dude did a complete 180 and looks like a potential NFL QB now.

But yes, we do need to get our defense back right to win championships.

This is partially true. Check out OUs 3 straight Heisman winners/finalists

They also had the worst defense in the B12 so they threw for 400+ every week

Yup…the offense would just take a knee & hope to win 3-0 with a great D

Just when I think our fans can’t get any more delusional

thank you Captain Obvious, the entire SEC is turning into the Big 12, which I guess makes sense because the bulk of the conference is steadily migrating over here

The new rules basically guarantee we get less possessions per game

Kind of reminds of of watching Pistol Pete his sophomore and junior years. Fun player to watch but we were barely above 500 as a team

Good offense is measured by efficiency & this offense passes every metric with flying colors. Like by far

If LSU’s defense www holding other teams, the offense would still get the ball from punts & score.

Sorry, but JD's stats have been incredible even when LSU's D played decent games. See Auburn and Miss. State games where we held the opponent to under 20. JD completed an average of 80+% of his passes in those games, accounted for 400+ yards in both and scored 7 TDs.

Even last year in games where LSU's D held defenses in check like Bama and Ole Miss, he put up incredible stats and won SEC Offensive Player of the Week. His stats have been amazing regardless of the defensive play.
