So, it was one football game?

And, you think enrollment and what happens in Tiger Stadium is mutually exclusive?

My man, there is not one single element bigger than LSU football that directly impacts that $1.1billion budget. But, see, you don't want to acknowledge that because it doesn't suit your agenda.

We can see you. Discussion with you is over.

This thread takes dumb to a new level. Do you really believe that the budgets of other state universities were not hotly politicized in other states? If you want to blame someone, blame our ex-governor who famously said that his own party had to quit being the "party of stupid" and then spent the rest of his term being stupid.

Alexander does not run the athletic department--- Joe Aleva does, so if you don't want to blame Jindal, blame Aleva.
Alexander has done a remarkable job leading the university through some of its toughest years.

I have not seen any public statement like that. I am not saying you aren't right. I just haven't seen it.

My real point was the correlation to his Poor handling of things especially the Financial aspects of the University publicly. His efforts combined with JBE probably caused the lowered enrollment.

When you take that into perspective, firing King because LSU loses a football game is like firing a Fortune 500 CEO because the company's janitor forgot to clean the toilets.

You said it, not me.

If F. King Alexander thinks LSU athletics - the University's most valuable asset - is the janitor, as you do, then is it really debatable whether he should keep his job?

Maybe you know more about what happened last November than I do. But Alexander seemed to kill the deal of getting rid of Miles. Now again I am not saying whether or not he should have been fired ( Miles ) but you can't have it both ways. You can't hold Aleva responsible if you undercut his desires on how to manage his staff.

Do it anyway and dare the Governor to cut the budget. The loser would have caved.

Again, Czar Kings biggest infraction was blocking the firing of Les Miles because it didn't further his poor-mouthing agenda. He, as well as JBE actually implied that football would no longer be played if they didn't get their way. And, of course their real agenda is higher taxes, but that's an issue for the poli board. So, I'll ask you - list 3 things Czar King Alexander has done to improve our fine university?

Not just football or financial. Did anyone see that promo ad for LSU during the game? Looked like a teenage boy did a Youtube with his girlfriend in the video.

I'm 50 and can say without a doubt, this president is by far worse than any as long as I can remember.

Then how about let the man do his job and stay out of it? He didn't do that though. F**king needs to keep his arse on the other side of the tracks.

You must have been sleeping when Lombardi was here. And Mike Martin slept walked through his tenure.

Ok. I'm approaching this with an open mind. What data do you have that correlates LSU football to budget? Or LSU football to enrollment? I'm open to having a serious discussion about this, so let's look at the data and talk about correlations.

2015 was the highest enrollment in LSU history. Was 2014 the most successful year in football history?

It's also tough to correlate the two when the AD operates with a completely self-sustained budget. Meaning, they are 0% of that operating budget and make their own revenue with ads, ticket sales, and donations.

If he is to be taken at his word, he pushed Aleva aside at the end of last season when the fix was in.

fricking made the play.
