I am not a administrator at LSU but have had a lot of relatives and friends who were over the years and I have heard about problems at LSU particularly funding for at least last 50 years. LSU has been chronically underfunded and screwed by the state since the 60s. This is not new nor is Alexander the first to deal with it. LSU has been close to losing accreditation many times for this shite. The simple truth is most legislators are not LSU alums, and LSU has done a horrible job or protecting its interest over the years.
Now to this shite. This was not fricking Alexander's concern as many of u have admitted. He should have stayed out of it. He admittedly doesn't know shite about LSU football or athletics. They write a multimillion dollar check back to the university each and every year and that is all that deals with his wheel house. But his ego get in the way and jumped into something he has no knowledge or experience dealing with because he thinks his intellect transpires into all realms.
So he choose to stick his nose into this and it got it caught. He can't now fall back upon fact he didn't know better. Like my father used to say don't let your alligator mouth write a check your rabbit arse can't cover"
His ego got him into this and it may get his rabbit arse fired.

You're a fricking idiot. King has done amazing things for the university. I'm so sorry the football team lost yesterday, but to fire the head of a UNIVERSITY that has done great things because a sport lost a game, is just fricking dumb. Grow up.
Mrs. f__king Alexander,
Please name one thing.
TIA,

This abortion of a system president repeatedly made a public embarrassment of himself and this entire UNIVERSITY last fall and spring.
His arse needs to go IMMEDIATELY!

Please remember, in addition to signing the petition, to send daily emails to F. King,Alleva and the BOS voicing your displeasure. The only way to force a change is to keep pushing until they do the right thing.

wow, at last a voice of reason.
these fricking idiots on this board want to fire everybody. they don't care about facts; they just want to win a football game. they are an example of what has held the state of Louisiana back for the last 50 years. it's called ignorance.
Again, name 1 damned thing f__king has done besides repeatedly embarrass both the athletic and academic side of the entire UNIVERSITY

Alexander does not run the athletic department--- Joe Aleva does, so if you don't want to blame Jindal, blame Aleva.
AGAIN for less intelligent: Alleva did his damned job, recognized utter incompetence and went about rectifying the situation in his department. f__king stepped outside of the academic realm and vetoed Alleva's control over his own department. But let's blame Jindal because oil went down. Let me guess, you're voting for that treasonous bitch that has sold our country to George Soros because, hey, she's got a D next to her name on the ballot.
f__king publicly embarrassed LSU more than once. Heads need to roll and it starts with him. He has ZERO redeeming accomplishments. Just like Michael Brown in Katrina, someone has to be held accountable and it starts with f__king.

You are correct. Online petitions are not legal nor valid, because you need a legitimate substantiation in order for it to have any power. The essentials would be a name and address on a piece of paper--anyone (even under-aged children) can sign a petition. In order for a petition to work, it would take supporters who can substantiate they actually donate to make an impact. Those of us who are only fans can voice opinions, but opinions do not necessarily have any clout. Now as for emails, letters and phone calls--yes, they can have an impact. Threats will make the matter worse.

Eh. LSU is the Flagship. It shouldn't have open enrollment or anything close. That's what the regional colleges and 2 year schools are for.

Close Grambling, Northwestern St, Nichols or SWLA. There are too many universities in Louisiana relative to the population.

Agreed. But that isn't really LSU main campus' problem.
