You're a fool if you can't see how football is a major marketing tool for the university and how athletics and academics can go hand & hand. Lsu's football success has a direct correlation to the university's brand awareness, particularly for prospective students who are out of state.
Alexander had no business mettling in athletic affairs. That, and the black eye he proactively gave the university in the midst of the budget cuts on how 'broke' the university is, have been nothing short of a pr disaster that did more harm than good for the university. He reeks of someone who puts his own personal vendetta above that of the university. That's why people have an issue with him.

Who, besides Skip Bertnan, would hire an abject failure for anything?
I've re-looked at the thread from the other night and not one single poster could name 1 even mildly significant accomplishment in his entire tenure

perhaps his job performance is rated on results not dealing with football wins/losses.
Again, name one single accomplishment that overwhelms the 3 times he has publicly EMBARRASSED the University

You're REALKY confused, it was JBE, not Jindal. But whatever fits your liberal meme. Why let facts get in the way?

Why does everyone hate Alexander? I'm genuinely curious.
Meddling in football + 3 very public University wide embarrassments + not one single redeeming academic accomplishments

Well....Seeing as The Board approved F King to be president in the first place a few years ago. It would be my guess they would give him a positive review/applause. If they gave him a negative review....well it would look like The Board made the wrong decision to approve him for president in the first place. Then what would The Board look like?
