How is he doing?
Yes, I know the conventional wisdom about his not picking up the pass blocking, which is essential. Holding on to the ball may be another issue.
BUT many on us here thought he was so explosive, he would be hard to keep off the field.
I noted O saying early in the season, he needed time in the weight room.
Can anybody add to this about why Emery is getting no PT?

CEH has just taken touches from him and price. I mean if you have a guy that good, you give him the damn ball and worry about Emery and Price next year.

I was listening to Whiskey and Wine and Moscona said that Burrow doesnt want him in right now. He missed a screen pass and Burrow got lit up.

1) CEH is killing it and VERY reliable...doesnt fumble
2) my guess is he doesnt know pass protections very well which is crucial in our offense

I haven't seen any real explanation for it. I just assume that he hasn't adjusted as well to the college game yet as TDP has.

You want us to take touches away from the guy who is the first RB to score 4 touchdowns on Saban’s Alabama defense for the true freshman?

He’s got next year

They've only got so many carries to go around my man. TDP is further along than Emery and you damn sure ain't taking any carries away from Clyde the way he's playing. I expect to see quite a bit of Emery the next two weeks.

View the first 8 games as a try-out for first or second running back. Know that even if you make the second position you are likely to only play a few downs. CEH, due to his abilities won the first running back position and got to play in the target game - Alabama. Period, end of story.

I was in this boat as well early in the season but Clyde has been a joy to watch. His ability to find AND create a hole to slip through is amazing. He has put more LBs on skates this year than any lsu rb in the recent past. He may not take it 60 yards with blazing speed but he can make 3 people miss in a 6 yard box. The really amazing part is he doesnt have a fb to run off of either. His vision is one of his best qualities. His top end speed is really his only negative but you dont need to run 4.4 to be a great rb.

He needs to hold onto the ball, he needs to pass protect better and he needs time in the weight room.
Also, these are all things taken from your OP. so, you actually didn't need to ask.

2 reasons:

CEH
TDP

They are better. The crying over Emery on this board is pretty sad.

He’s obviously not ready and they guys playing are killing it. At this point why does anyone want him getting any play outside of garbage time?

Emery's best attribute is elusiveness.
We have an elusive rb right now that can also, pass catch, pass block, run with power, and is a decent enough route runner.
