The opportunity to wear the lsu jersey should mean something. To the ones that opt out it shows a lot. No culture - me mentality. If you’re worried about getting hurt go get an insurance policy.

Going off of the opinions of people today. What they should do is once a team is eliminated from playoff contention their remaining schedule should be cancelled because any games after this even in the regular season are meaningless.

Portal opens January 2nd. Nothing these young guys do matters much to Lane. His decision has already been made on what players to target in the portal and their roles for next year for the team.

Not gonna happen. They make too much money off of those bowl games.

How about don't watch? Cause the bowls aren't going anywhere.

If Curne is playing it might not mean we are completely out of it with him. We never should have asked him to play LT as a true freshman when its clear his position is LG. Throw him an extra little $$ and keep him if possible, he will be a very good starting guard soon.

They're not getting paid to play yet, just for the use of their name, image, and likeness.

And scholarship which includes housing and meals.

Sounds like getting paid

Are we really still confusing Whit & West?

lol it's possible. They're both weeks to weeks with the injuries, but for some reason the fans give them a pass.

Nuss has opted out since the second half of last years A&M game. Those interceptions destroyed his confidence.

Some of y’all legitimately shouldn’t be allowed to discuss LSU football because you’re so fricking stupid.

Idk what you’re trying to say… West has playing in 11/12 games this year.

Whit has appeared in 8, but has been injured all year since like Game 4

Kids get scholarships and skip class all the time. They even quit going altogether; the school does not ask for their money back.

The opt outs are the best possible thing for this bowl prep and game to provide any value to the 2026 season. You should want every player who’s not on the team next year to opt out.

Would you accept a job with no salary and only a per diem? That's about what the scholarship, housing and meals add up to based on the millions the university gets year to year. The education "compensation" myth is long dead. Housing and food are paid by taxpayers and no longer an accepted means of compensation in major college sports. At this point its a budgeted in expense labeled "the cost of doing business". Pennies to the university.

Haulcy is a pussy for not being man enough to play his old team.

Most will say an injury isn’t worth it, but some things in life like sports you just have to play the game.

Should buck the weak trend and play.

Not worried about the downvotes and agreements but that how I feel about it.
