Everyone on this board who trashed Lacy before he died should come on here and apologize

It won’t make up for anything, but holding yourself accountable might make you think twice before you do it to the next person. Keyboard Warriors slowing down before disparaging someone before we have the facts might just save a life in the future.

I hate this. He was loved by his teammates and would be playing on Sundays right now. LSU fans should have stood by him. Instead, people just assumed he was a “thug” and piled on.

Do better. This WILL happen again to someone else. Remember this and let the investigation play out before we convict someone online. Their life might depend on it.

The people who immediately jumped to trashing Lacy had been doing it since he got a flag against USC. Those people look for anything to justify what they already believe, facts be damned. The rant does this with WAYYY more than Lacy. And expecting them to learn anything from it is a pipe dream. They don't have the correct number of brain cells to understand logic, reason, or to learn from anything.

Look man, a lot of people called the penalty against USC stupid, myself included. If someone is dumb enough to take an undisciplined celebration and use that as reason to convict him of vehicular manslaughter or whatever, then they lack brain cells. I think lots of halfway intelligent people realize those were two vastly different situations.

I was wrong, and of course I apologize! Troopers and everyone involved with the cover up should do some serious jail time.

You would like to think grown arse men and women would not itch an investigation and in this instance, falsely accuse a kid and basically ruin the young man's life. This is an absolute tragedy. Should not happen, period!!

They rather make threads about how he is still responsible for taking his life than acknowledge they may have been wrong to judge him.

The amount of hate he received over this was likely overwhelming.

I’ll never understand people who think they are the moral arbiters of everything such as starting a thread shaming a message board, lol. I guess some people’s egos are just that big. The whole situation with Lacy was really sad.

I didn’t like his on the field antics so I believed what was reported in the news back then. That is probably why many here believed he was guilty.

So, you agree with the post that called out everyone who judged him as guilty without knowing the facts, because those were the real “moral arbiters.” Considering someone innocent until proven guilty is basic to being an American according to our Constitution. But, “moral arbiters” don’t want to wait for that and want to pass judgment and harass a man to the point that he broke and killed himself.

Yeah, I agree. Don’t do that.

I think you should quit worrying about those individuals. They’re going to continue to trash people at every opportunity. They’re living in a world where you can say anything online with no accountability.

They would never say shite like that in public. They’re cowards and not worth the effort.

I never trashed the young man but I never doubted the charges at the time. Even though cops continue to show their incompetence, I honestly never doubted their story in this case. I'm not going to apologize and If that makes me a bad person then so be it.
But someone needs to answer for this. The cops on the scene, the judge, the DA, all need to answer for this. They are all incompetent at best for arresting this young man with zero evidence.
And most of all, the person who actually caused the accident resulting in a death. That person needs to be arrested today.
They essentially ruined Lacy's future and that gave him cause (in his mind) to end his own life. I can't imagine what he was going through during that time between the accident and his death. I feel so bad for his family and I hope this brings them some small amount of comfort to know that Eddie was innocent.

His lawyer provided his case and evidence. When do we get the states case and evidence?

Get off your high horse Karen. People were fed facts by the authorities that turned out to be lies. No one here made a vendetta up against the guy out of the blue

The people who have an obligation to apologize aren’t on this board

Kyren’s lawyer says he didn’t cause the crash therefore the entire board drops all logic. Purple and gold glasses went on real quick.

All the facts say he was driving like a maniac, ignored a deadly wreck that he may have caused, shot a gun at a family member, and led police on a high speed chase that could have led to more fatalities. Most of you would be so quick to say “thug” or “usual suspects” on any other board, but bc he wore the purple and gold you’re so quick to exonerate him
