So frick all of you for being stubborn. I hate when its called Alec… if the dudes name was Alec… call him that. You can say what you want, but the name is spelled Alex. It wouldnt bother me so much if our radio voice wasnt from somewhere else and didnt sound like he was trying to fit in here all the time. I knew a cousin of Alex Box… the family was actually torn on the pronunciation. To be fair, I hate spell checkers and people that use the word “cringe”. Seem like fools to me.

you spell natchitoches but its pronounced nakutuhsh. its proper name, ignore the spelling.
or paincourtville, or iowa (ioway) etc. that's what proper names are. they are not always pronounced the way they are spelled.
