This is the wrong thread for "bootstrapism" but I agree. Until that attitude starts to change, you'll see deeper divisions within the community - the middle class, intact nuclear families will continue to do better and the single parent/grandparent led houses will continue to falter.

Back on track - I've been a fan of Brumfield since his recruitment. I think he would fit in well with my family and our sense of humor. Of course he would tower over all of us, even Deuce Midnight who looks like Captain America.

Dude, all of y'all need chill out!! It was just 2 guys goofing around! My son is very intelligent, and he does not believe the earth is flat! But he has been encouraged since birth to talk about and explore any and all subjects that are of interest to him, and to not believe something simply because everyone else does! An independent thinker! Not a sheep who just follows the rest of the flock! Again, they were just joking around!

Yes actually. Is it more common otherwise? Yes. But I've heard the phrase since i was a child and used for every stripe.
Actually used to be fairly common among whites because lets be blunt, not all whites are comfortable speaking in front of people
