true, and ours will go up some with more SEC victories under our belt. Auburn really screwed us this week. That was a gimmie. South Carolina sure isn't helping either.

That fear is not as pressing as it used to be though - with the prior opinion poll #1 and their conference kinda tanking... now it does seem likely to me that the sec and big 12 champ have a good leg up on the competition

ALL LSU has to do is finish #1 in the human polls and its all gravy! No worries!
Right now we are #3 in Coaches, and #2 in Harris. Just keep winning and those computers won't have much to say about anything!

But only having played 4 games, when most have played 5-6 already, coupleded with the fact our biggest win @AU is now a two loss team we are lagging behind the others.
We are currently #2 in human poll averages (.9152) while mizzu is (.9100)
Only 5 of the 6 computer polls are publised yet, and without dropping our highest and lowest numbers, we have a computer average of (.472)
Even the publishers of the computer polls will tell you there are huge diviations this early in the season. They require a full season of games to complete they matrix of who is better then who....

Of the 5 polls USC's average is lower then LSU's currently at (.464) vs LSU's (.472)

hmm....then I guess I don't get how SC is at 7 considering they are 8 in the Harris and 9 in the Coaches

Win the West with no more than 1 loss and the SECCG. The rest will take care of itself.

of the 6 computer polls you throw out the highest and lowest polls. since there are only 5 polls publised and the 6th wont publish until the 19th i didn't drop any numbers.
USC is 22, 3, 15, 21, & 10 in the five polls as of today.
EDIT: also computer polls are 1/3 of the total point total, with the two human polls being 1/3 each as well.
Also, BYU, Texas Tech's comp rating is (.192) & (.264) respectively. and they are both higher then USC in the Human polls.

Sounds right. LSU's strength of schedule---to date---is horrible (esp. because of N Texas).

No its not hatred of LSU - god - what is wrong with you people. We are 4 - 0 against a weak schedule. Based on the "body of work", there is no reason to expect higher at this moment!
