I think Ruggs is the bust of the class

He had the second lowest drop percentage in this draft class last season (1 drop).

Then why was this world class speed and hands guy the 3rd receiving option on his own team? He also only averaged .1 more yards per reception than Smith with 28 less receptions and half as many TDs. I'm not buying it on Ruggs. Teams may be in love with his speed, but he's got potential bust written all over him.

Because Jeudy and Smith are better?

I mean it’s a projection. Ruggs probably has the highest ceiling in this class

Not sure what qualifies Jeudy as 1A over JJ2.

take a look at his production over the past two seasons
Jefferson had the better 2019 (for sure), but they are very close over 2018-19.
i don't think you could go wrong with either.
Jeudy had that kind of production 2 years in a row vs. SEC defenses.
that's why i gave him the 1A nod, but that's not a knock on Jefferson.
I see both Jefferson & Jeudy as better than Ruggs. Just MO.

Why is Ruggs rated so high? He’s a burner, but I just don’t get it. I’d take Lamb over all of them. Love Jefferson and Jeudy’s game for the NFL. I think Jefferson’s route running will raise eyebrows...he’s nasty. That’s a pretty impressive list with Higgins at the bottom.

as stacked at WR as LSU has been, bama is just freaking ridiculous

Looks that way on the graphic because both are draft eligible. Just happens that our #1 WR and the best WR in the nation was only a true sophomore. I’d take Chase-Jefferson-Marshall over Ruggs-Jeudy-Smith, no homerism.

I'm so tired of people overrating Ruggs. Is there a chance he could break the mold of first round speedster WRs doing nothing more than just being a deep threat? Yes, but that's not likely. Tyreek Hill fell into an incredible situation, but these 4.3/4.2 something WRs are never that accomplished.

On that same note, you have actual guys like Lamb in the league (DeAndre Hopkins), who are considered top 3 at the position. A guy with an amazing catch radius and elite of elite run after catch abilities.

Lamb is not surprising....... Our TRUE Fr rubbed his nutts on his face all night!

4 receptions 119 yards. Blame Hurts and his OL, not Lamb, because if that were Kyler Murray it would have probably been 200 yards.

With that said, Stingley played like a grown man for most of the year.

Is this the same ESPN computer that had us behind Ohio State and Clemson when the playoffs were over?

He did, but he only had 4 catches and half of his yards came early on the long pass in which Stevens was defending them. LSU moved away from that matchup, and he was relatively quiet after that.

Our receivers absolutely tormented DBs this year. Bama receivers are really f’ing good, but they got the good ole media loving bama hype

Bama's wrs literally got all their stats from taking 5 yard slants into 80 yard tds. They are not that good when going against elite secondaries. Chase Jefferson and Marshall ran a plethora of routes and beat dbs in a bunch of different ways.
