ESPN made a point of praising LSU’s offense, noting one word best describes it, “creative” and ESPN showed how “creative” LSU’s offense was on film. And LSU’s current receivers are “talented” noting that Miles had similar talented receivers too that were ready for the NFL, but who knew, because Miles didn’t use them like LSU’s doing now.

I saw the segment and the dude is dumb. Out of all the years of bad LSU offense SC decided to use the one year we shattered records as an example of bad offense. Dude said nobody knew OBJ and Landry would be this good in the NFL because they weren’t used at LSU...dumb!

Miles survived on implementing Bo Schembechler offense. Which is fine when you have the most talent on your side of the the ball. About 10 games a year LSU has more talent than the opposing team. About 11 games a year LSU has more or equal talent level than the opposing team. It takes a little more than the Bo Schembechler offense to beat those teams with equal or more talent than you . Miles always gave lip service to the fans that this year the offense would be different. It never was. He was successful just enough to have a long and fruitful career at LSU but it could have been legendary if he was more open minded and creative.

This! Miles reverted back to his "old ways" after shattering offensive records at LSU in one season. Members of the media do college football a great disservice by not properly explaining a teams' history, very unprofessional. Yes, Miles didn't use such talent nearly enough, but why pick that year?

The 2013 had talented guys at multiple positions on offense. The offense itself wasn't something all that creative or different than what was run before or after.

The 2008 Pick 6 season is what caused Miles to go into his shell. His Okie State and LSU offenses to that point weren't what they became post-2008. Hell, even with all those Picks, that 2008 offense was more dynamic than what followed, it was overshadowed by a shitty defense on top of spotting opponents points and field position.

Les Miles was mostly a miserable coach and I'm extremely happy he's gone. He struggled and almost lost to a shite team in his opener at Kansas. He will fail miserably at Kansas and I will be happy to see it.

Did I mention yet that I despised having him as the HC at LSU?

And we had a great offense that year! It was really unfortunate that 2013 was also a down year for our defense.

Yeah, they would probably have had a 3000 yard passer, 2 1000 yard receivers, and a 1000 yard rusher.

Andrew Hatch, Jarret Lee and the rest of that 2008 stable of quarterbacks ruined Les. He was never comfortable with a quarterback again, besides Met.

Go back and watch games from 05-07. The offense had real innovation, running tons of plays from the spread formation. shite Les gave Matt Flynn a waaaaay more diverse selection of plays, formations, and schemes than he even gave Met. Part of that was because Flynn could use his legs and Met could not, but Flynn had a fraction of the arm talent Met had.

If Ryan Perrilloux doesn't go to the casino that night (again), Les Miles is still the head coach, LSU probably modernizes the offense, and we probably have a few more championships.

Why is no one mentioning that 2008 Meercat defense?
It was a lack of defense that forced Lee to try and outscore the opposition.

One year, one freaking year and that makes it all good? Some of you are some clowns!
All I know is I love what I saw in this offense and Miles shitted away our talent other than in 13' and could never get it done with a QB which to me was his biggest downfall, that and being so stubborn!

*Maybe I'm missing the sarcasism in this post, not sure! Don't quite understand the downvotes but then again I didn't see the segment

It’s funny that the same idiots that make fun of and talk shite about how horrible guys like Harris and Jennings were are the same ones that talk about how stubborn and Bo-like Miles was.

We’ll see how “creative” and explosive this “new” offense is next year when Burrow is gone and Emory is getting 20+ carries a game like LF did in those years.

Idiots
