I think I'm a better journalist than schlabach.

I own a healthcare business and got a B- in english composition 101.

Somebody creative should write a satyrical article full of BS related to college football and pen it as his article.

JS was a la man. JJ, the basketball coach, is a la man. La men don't spell success.

Lets see how the next three to four games play out before we start pushing O on LSU. Running up the scores on two poor teams hasn't proven anything. Let's see how we do when the competition becomes high level SEC teams.

But I will say right now, I don't want a position coach or a head coach from anywhere that hasn't excelled. Nothing against O, but I think LSU deserves a proven head coach.

The only thing beating Bama would prove is that our coordinators are great. They're the ones coaching aren't they? I thought that's what Coach O was going to let them do

We bitch because the coach meddles to much. Now we bitch because the coach doesn't meddle enough. We will bitch just to be bitching.

If coach O is 4-1 or 3-2, and that 3-2 would have to be two close losses, and we miss out on Jimbo, then I don’t see any problem with hiring coach O. At least he is a far better coach relative to Miles, and he is probably the best recruiter in the country.

I know what Jimbo said after Miles was given the vote of confidence last year and I heard all the rumors too, but I don’t know how much of that was true and how much of that was scuttlebutt.

I’m not so sure Herman is the right man for the LSU job at this point since he hasn’t had an adequate amount of time yet, in my opinion, to prove he is worthy. Indeed, a lot of people might be jumping the gun on Herman and only time will tell. I certainly wouldn’t offer him any more money to come to LSU than I would offer to coach O.

Jimbo, on the other hand, is a proven coach and is worthy of being offered more money to come to LSU.

If Alleva does this he should be fired. fricking hate how we've crowned Coach O like we have.

This feels like some CTR level shite with the amount of support Coach O has gotten after winning 2 games. They've got to be bots, no way this many actual people want him when there are better, more qualified candidates out there.

This. Like that other article Moscona shared today...the guy in Denver floating the idea that Charlie Strong is coming. Alleva has been completely silent and now agents and ESPN are manufacturing lies hoping something will stick

Every team has them from time to time and when you consider the role changes and what not that this staff is going thru I think that we can forgive the occasional slip up.

Coach Orgeron is restoring order and bringing out the best of what has been a disaster for a few years now of a program. Most of the pieces are in place for Coach Orgeron to succeed and I think he will hire a proven offensive coordinator and get us back on track. We can't afford to lose Aranda or coach raymond, even coach Craig has been valuable to us the short time he's been here to say he's an auburn guy. This job belongs to coach orgeron, he's the right fit at the right time.

He's only been a head coach for a year and a half at a second level university. He's still very much unproven. You don't offer rookies as much money as you do to proven veterans.

Now Jimbo is not only proven, but he also has a national championship under his belt. Therefore, he is worth far more relative to candidates who aren't proven.

You've reached this brilliant conclusion based on two games against fairly poor competition? Without any consideration of O's previous failings as a head coach? Without knowing what other candidates are interested?

Some elements of our fan base appear to be, well, challenged.

Just to be clear, you said you wouldn't offer Herman more than O. So according to you, someone who is 19-2 as a head coach with several marquee wins and a NY6 bowl victory has the same market value as a coach who went 10-25 in his only permanent head coaching job and has never won any bowl game? That's untenable.

Jimbo should get more money based on resume however, demand is what would be driving up Herman's salary. I haven't heard of many schools going after Jimbo compared to Herman so Herman would likely require more money to get.
