I mean when I saw the highlights that was the headline for me. I mean a fricking 75% free throw shooter air balled the fricker.

Look, I felt badly for her. But yes, it wasn’t like she was a rookie out there. Jones is a veteran and was PAC 12 Freshman of the year last season AND a 75 percent FT shooter. Bottom line, she just didn’t get the job done.

As an LSU fan I felt so incredibly bad for that poor girl. To airball in that situation….

Regardless it’s a pretty big story line to the end of the game. One of their better players whiffs. Lighten up.

The win was great for LSU, but the story was the emotion shown by that young lady on the Utah squad.

It doesn’t always have to be about us/you. Relax. We won.

75% free-throw shooter

Big difference between shooting free throws during the course of a game and shooting free throws when there’s only seconds left in the game and you making them might well determine your teams fate. The pressure on the shooter magnifies by 10 and that goal looks 30 feet away and 3 inches wide.

Anyway, no team loses a 40 min game because of one play.

but in all honesty, the poor girl from Utah pretty much lost it for them

No, she didn't. That is simplistic thinking. Its a 40 minute game with hundreds of plays.

Suppose LSU was down 1 with four seconds left and Ladaazhia is at the foul line and misses both free throws and the Tigers lose. Would you say Ladazhia lost the game for them despite her incredible performance the rest of the game?

The missed free throws was the game; hence the highlight. LSU won due to two missed free throws with four seconds left.

Well it’s true. I feel bad for that young lady the pressure got to her. But I’m glad LSU won of course.

I’ve learned to ignore what the media want you to read or focus on.
Enjoy the moment as a fan because as soon as you accomplish something the media wants to tear you down

I didn't suggest she was a rookie, or make any excuses for her. Merely stating that I felt bad for her. LSU deserved the win, either way.

I would have never known since I don't go to espn.com anymore. If they would stick to sports then I will reconsider.

I'm not going to lose any sleep over ESPN losing subscribers and hurting financially.
