I can't imagine it ever being in a local bar's interest to throw the team under the bus, but maybe they're for real.

I definitely understand thinking that but imo if Lowery didnt start the fight and Im the bar owner I just stay very quiet. You dont want to piss off your customers but you also dont want to end up with a civil suit by pissing off the "victims". By them coming out and saying this publicly tells me they are telling the truth.

It doesn't matter if he threw the first punch. Once he was on the ground he was not a threat and that's when JJ kicked him in the face. JJ's fricked!

I guess it's more of a restaurant thing then? Or maybe just where I worked? It sucked arse, but we knew we'd get our asses fired if we were caught. It blew because there were nights that it would have been nice to just have a little something after a shitty day.

2) How is who started it relevant to charges of 2nd degree battery. Just cause someone swings first doesn't mean it's okay to kick then while they are down and defenseless at the end of the fight.

This is all I have to say about this.

So how are they "victims" if they started the fight? Cause they lost?

pretty much what I've said the entire time...Just because you picked a fight with beasts who can do legitimate damage doesn't make you a victim.

Well, according to nola.com, it was an Associated Press story. This adds some validity to the story IMO.

The "victim" starting the whole fight, while in itself does not exonerate any LSU players, certainly helps the PR battle.

Most people would not have a problem with the LSU player(s) defending themselves as opposed to actively seeking out some random guy to beat up.

-Lowery and girlfriend break up -Lowery stalks x-girlfriend at home and then at bar -Lowery not happy with Brad Wing for talking to his x-girlfriend and cusses at and punches him -Lowery kicked out of Shady's -Lowery (and friends that came to pick him up)waits on x-girlfriend and/or football players in parking lot so that he can start crap -All hell breaks loose in parking lot -Lowery gets beat down

- Andrew Lowery is incapacitated (as shown on video)
- Andrew Lowery is kicked in the face by a taller than average black male (which is also shown on the video)

PR is PR - but the LAW is the LAW. All the DA needs is that video + motive. Witnesses provide motive, even the ones who think they are helping JJ.

Shouldn't the employees be able to ID the kicker then? Or did they only see an inside the bar punch and have nothing on what actually happened outside?

That's what I am saying. In my eyes that is when the most testosterone shows. That is when the fight is really capped off when you can really make them remember not to frick with you again.

Why did we go an entire week only hearing one side of the story?

They can decide what to charge him with...if they werent the aggressors then it will probably be a lesser charge I would think. Im not an attorney though.

It would seem the motive was being punched by the "victim", no?
