#LSU pitcher Eric Walker has entered the transfer portal, The Athletic has learned.

Walker was a freshman All-American in 2017 before going down in the College World Seeies and needing Tommy John. His 2019 season was spent trying to return to form and 2020 was cut short.

Nonsense. He could’ve come out of the pen, given you some midweek innings and then he would’ve been invaluable in the post-season. Pretty bad decision but you can’t do anything but wish him the best.

#LSU infielder Hal Hughes has also entered the transfer portal. Hughes has started 106 games as a defensive specialist but has a career batting average of .199. His father is Kansas State head coach Pete Hughes.

Hal Hughes has also entered the transfer portal.

Hughes should go to Morehead State. His brother is a coach there under Mik Aoki.

No one wants to pitch 2IP every other week against Southern & Marist

There are like 450 guys in the portal right now. We’ve got 53 (now 51) potential players on the roster. It’s possible we only lose about 6 players/recruits to the draft. These won’t be the last announcements.

He’s a starting pitcher but needs to find his way again. Sucks we didn’t have a season this year.

Fat needed to be trimmed. Sucks it was Walker, even thought he wasn't the same guy

Over who? He’s low 80s from the right side. Can’t get away with that in the SEC.

Maybe in the dugout. He wasn’t sniffing the mound in the postseason at LSU again.

Kill yourself.

Good luck to Walker and Hughes.
