2 unsuccessful series later it’s scrapped. O brings it back to the bread and butter...right up the middle twice, then a pass short of the chains.

Yeah that’s what killed us last year.. short passes.

Brady has never called plays before...

I think it’s probably a little more intricate than coach speak. I thought you may have some technical details.

I guess this is how low the bar has gotten for us on offense “hey I commend our OC for admitting he can’t really do this job!”

What specifically are you hoping to understand?

From all reports it’s an uptempo RPO, spread type deal.

Then why are idiots like you crowning him as the savior of the offense? There are quotes in the OP saying that Brady will pick a play and then it will be up to Ensminger to call it or not. So it E listens to Brady, it will be Brady calling the plays.

And what does it say about Ensminger to have a 26 year old, who has never called plays nor been a coordinator, telling him what to do?

And what does it say about Orgeron, who promised to bring in the best OC. You and your dumbass buddies tried to convince us how great Ensminger was. Now you are tell us that Brady (read paragraph above) is going to save this.

Clemson has had Co_OCs for years now. 2 NCs.

It seems like we essentially have the same based on what I've read about their relationship.

As long as they are on the same page and only 1 is actually the play caller, we'll be good.

What does exactly?

Delusions of grandeur from people who desperately want an offense and convince themselves Brady is finally the answer.

Nice personal attack, and I have said repeatedly that I am in wait and see mode.

He’s 28

Oh look, another attack, i think I’m detecting a pattern.

Again I said I am in wait and see mode, but it makes me feel better that changes are being made instead of sitting with the status quo like Les did.

As much as you bitch about me being emotional, calling people names is the first sign of someone being emotionally invested in something. Also the sign of when you have a weak argument.

This isn't on Ensminger. This is all on O. He needs to hire an OC who is comfortable running the spread offense. I'm honestly not sure why he's keeping Ensminger around, especially after he just told O he can't run the offense he wants.

Orgeron said Monday that Brady will be with Ensminger in LSU’s booth in the press box. “Steve’s going to call the plays, Joe is going to have the next play ready. If Steve wants it, he takes it.”

Perfect! That works for me.

Jeff Scott and Tony Elliott were at Clemson as position coaches for seven and four years, respectively, before taking over co-OC roles. They also had legitimate positional coach experience, not GA experience.

I’ve never seen a HC make so many promises every year and ask his assistants to push this propaganda with him. Why not just give us results?

Because this is about selling tickets. Part of their jobs is to whip up excitement in the offseason. I'm really surprised that a guy like you who has been around a while doesn't get that.

And, BTW, you HAVE seen other coaches make that many promises.

Agreed. E isn't the bad guy in this whole experiment, he's just a man who loves LSU and will do anything he personally can to make it better. It all falls on O.

So you propose that in 2020 LSU should roll with a first year QB and first year OC?

Well if Brady is the OC and he is going to be sitting directly on the side of E giving him the plays. I would say he would have a year under his belt before taking over. If Brennan is going to be the starter he would have what 3 years at LSU.

Everyone has to start somewhere.

If the offense line still does not know how to block on pass plays it wont matter!

The best coordinators promised by O are definitely those with only one real year of semi-coordinating experience.

Three years under offenses by Canada, E and, apparently, Brady.

Of course they do but I don't think everyone expected LSU to be the place to learn on the job.

Read between the lines. This is clearly Joe Brady’s show. They aren’t practicing his plays to not use.

And If he has the next play ready, that is the play. Lol. This isn’t hard to understand

I think you're dead wrong. This is Ensminger's show. He is using Brady as a resource. Ensminger is a top notch offensive coordinator who understands how to keep defenses off balance. He will use Brady to implement a different style, but Ensminger will be the conductor.

I expect that in another year or two Ensminger will step back and have Brady take the OC role. Hopefully by that time Brady will have picked up the art of playcalling from a guy who is widely considered a master.
