This is why I like Steve. He didn't want the job, but he's doing the best he can. He admits his flaws and accepts help from a guy in the next generation of offensive coaches in order to evolve the offense further.
Good coaches, executives, etc in all fields of work are successful because they recognize their flaws and do whatever they can to get better in those areas.
Hype for 2019 is full torque.

What system? Brady’s? Ensmimger’s? The “hybrid” “system” people tend to think we’re going to run this year?

Oh he didn’t? Why is that?

A smart head coach goes out and hires an OC with experience in the offense he wants to run. He doesn’t bank on a GA teaching it to his elderly OC unfamiliar with the concepts.

I would never blame Steve for being put into a position he maybe didn’t really want and for being objectively under-qualified for it. I question why it is a program like LSU is in this scenario to begin with. Hopefully my doubts are proven to be without merit and we have an efficient, dynamic, unpredictable offense.

I must have forgotten O’s long track record of developing talented young OCs, instilling then with his elite offensive insights.

what? Where do you people pull these “arguments” from?
There is no argument; it was a statement based off of the high preponderance of posters here who bitch like women about everything.

From all reports Brady’s system seems to be what they are implementing

So you jump from someone pointing out a potential problem that’s a legitimate concern to many here would complain about an undefeated season ? Bit of a leap you took there eh?

Ensminger......great guy....Tiger through and through

What? It's exactly what we wanted Miles to do for years. If it's a disaster this year, my opinion will change, but everything points to a successful offense this year.

What does exactly?
And for years we wanted Les to hire an inept OC only to hire a guy with little experience to work under him as the de facto OC the next season ? I don’t recall yearning for that but if you say so

You’re going to see an up-tempo offense that’s going to get our speed in space. That is different than things I’ve seen in the past. When you’re an up-tempo offense that gets your speed in space, good things are going to happen. You can get the best players on the field with the ball in their hands, I think then you’re sitting back and enjoying what you’re watching. So when I say get your popcorn ready, when you’re sitting there enjoying a movie and everything’s good, I think that’s what you’re going to be doing when you see our offense this fall.”

This is also false, O was told he had to make an outside hire because well that’s what he promised. He picked Canada, he did it for the wrong reasons but Canada was his hire

I give Ensminger credit for letting O know he needs help. Instead of saying "Yeah I got this" when he really doesn't and we frick up again.
If O really wants a spread offense, this is Ensgminer telling him he can't do a spread offense. O needs to hire a OC that knows how to run a spread offense.
