Well it is important for this team specifically to get a top 8 seed because they’ve struggled mightily on the road this year against better competition for the most part.
I don’t have much confidence in this team winning a Super Regional on the road against a top team. If it’s at Alex Box then I’d say LSU beats whoever they face in Supers.

Hunt is very knowledgeable on LSU Baseball. He never said LSU would not make the tournament and he never said LSU would not be a top 8 seed. All he said was, he didn’t think they were a lock to be top 8. He believes they will be a top 8 but it’s not 100% certain.

He knows we are going to make the tournament.
For all of you that keep thinking we are a lock, we certainly have a good chance at a top 8 seed. The only locks though are Arkansas and Texas, from the SEC. There are 4 other teams right there battling for the final 2 or 3 top 8 seeds from the SEC. Vandy, Ga, Auburn, LSU. Right now we have the inside track....I'm not sure why you guys keep ignoring the fact that each of those teams have a higher RPI than LSU and a stronger SOS. If a couple of them make a run, and/or if Auburn makes a run while beating us....I just don't see it as a lock. I do think we win Friday night and secure it.

My problem with his tweet was last week he said win 2/3 and it’s done top 8. Then after the series he posts that saying if these 20 things happen lsu might drop out of top 8. It was total click bait. He’s been around Moscona too long.
