+1 He's having to be so deliberate, but still pulling for him. He's young enough to make significant progress I believe.

No, they're NOT embarrassing him. Tney're honoring him. There's absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about.

Long live Lee Corso.

It depends on the person. Some can have great recoveries and others, not. So much depends on the will of the person and Lee Corso has a lot of will. God Bless him!!

he sounds great doing highlight packages and team breakdowns, but he's been having a hard time doing those zoomed in "monologue" bits when there's a long point to be made.

He actually doing a good job. The reading note cards will help him in the healing process of retraining his speech. Corso will be back.

He looked a bit better on that last bit. But he also looked like he couldn't hear what Herbie was saying.

Depends more on severity and location of the stroke, no 2 strokes are alike, some are so mild that a complete recovery is made in a super short time, some kill you and most are somewhere inbetween. Generally what ever function you have 1 year after the stroke is what you will be left at, in other words little improvememnt after one year post stroke.

Herbie may be a homer and not show LSU much love, but that guy knows football.

That as well, but, "miracles" happen because of some people's wills. Some people give up afterwards and some fight to rehabilitate and regain lost skills.
