re: Elko’s reason why they outlasted us in the 4th quarter, it’s Tommy Moffitt.

Being that the O-line can’t get any push to run block, I would say yes, it’s quite obviously a strength issue

Some of you underestimate how much the culture of Ed impacted our strength and conditioning and also how much motivation this gave Tommy with all the BS thrown his way. He chose to go to A&M because people thought he was the problem and it pissed him off..

Then why did you say this?

I think we should start to ask if our finishing problem in games comes down to Jake Flint

Of course Elko is going to say that. It makes it seem like he got one over on LSU. Also, are we just going to ignore the games we finished extremely strong in? Who gets the credit for that in your simple mind?

So our strength training is elite for pass blocking, and non existent for run blocking? How does that work in your mind?

Every former player raves how Tommy was the difference maker under Les.

What does that mean? We got our shite kicked in by Bama for 8 years with Les/Moffitt.

I wish moffett would have had our players ready for bama the last decade

Maybe we would have crossed the 50 in the superdome in 2011

Aggies are absolutely on upset watch in Columbia Saturday night. My biggest concern is that Beamer is a terrible coach and will find a way to give away another one.

I don’t buy the idea that conditioning had anything to do with the 4th quarter in that game.

In fact, I’ve been pretty impressed with our team’s conditioning this year. Especially given our limited depth at many positions (particularly on defense). Ole Miss ran 84 plays, to the point that their offensive linemen were sucking wind toward the end, while our defense still looked fresh.

Now.. is A&M a stronger team? I don’t know, maybe. But it didn’t seem that way in the first half.

I don’t think S&C was very high on the list of factors that led to the loss in that game.

The reason is Nussmeier. Short fields and interceptions wear a defense down physically and mentally.

That loss wasn’t on the run game, coaching, secondary, OL, DL… bottom line is nothing changes, and Nussmeier doesn’t make stupid mistakes and runs more than once a millennium, we win that game.

Nuss was the difference.

LSU CONSISTENTLY got their shite pushed in when he was here including when Burrow was QB. The difference was Burrow controlled the tempo with quick passes and put so much pressure on the opposing defenses, they had no choice to be only 1 dimensional.

Do a little research and look at the hundreds of threads on conditioning when facing equal talent like Bama.

Just stop

I think TM is just as good as he was 20 years ago. However, I do think you get stale staying in the same position for too long. I think the time off gave him the chance to re evaluate, get the fire burning again, and adapt to newer techniques.

Sounds like Elko and Tommy are playing "drop the soap" a bit too much.

We were up by 10 then Nuss imploded and astoundingly the D wasn't prepared for Reed. Their physicality in the 4th quarter was not a factor. I can't believe Elko said this. I can't wait until next year in TS when Underwood drops 50 on those figs
