Not sure why, but I’ll take it.

I’ve been everywhere. The people of Baton Rouge don’t realize how good they have it. The town is the perfect size, the people are great. It has a joy and soul that you can feel. It is where I will retire and cannot wait until I get a job that will let me live there again.

Leave a lil bit earlier to avoid said shitty traffic.
making excuses for these issues is naive on your part.
how long have you lived in Baton Rouge?
the traffic has been horrible long before i left in 1983.
the Louisiana Department of Transportation is the worst in the nation.
why is it BTR has no loop to take the load off of I-10 around the bridge?
Lake Charles has a loop! Shreveport has a loop!
Lufkin, Texas has a complete loop around the city. no interstate traffic but still a loop.
population of 36,159 (2016)
somebody is getting paid off or very inept at their position.
all the other issues apparently don't concern the citizens in BTR.
corrupt politicians thrive in BTR.

Walt OReilly
born and reared in cenla, graduated lsu in 7 years.
just retired back to cenla after 30 years in l.a. and orange county, ca.
traffic out of santa ana airport is 12 (twelve) lanes east, west and north. only 8 lanes south. at that intersection there are places w/ 20 lanes (10 east, 10 west and 10 north.)
AND...traffic moves 24 hours a day, and rush hours are 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon.
oreilly / oreally? ALMOST AS BAD AS JAKARTA.
EVERYWHERE OUT THERE IS MINIMUM ONE HOUR. including trips to grocery, movies, airport. two hours to beach and beach traffic. two hours to mountains and mountain traffic.
it's taken me a few years to adjust to the quiet of louisiana. i live on an empty interstate hwy. the first few years i live here i would automatically get on the freeway at rush hour times. it was like i was in MAGIC LAND! I was afraid the government would take back all our highways and maybe some rivers!
you dumb cluck. gtfo!
rancho cucamonga is a beautiful city, surrounded by dense populations of 8 million people in orange county. over 20 million in southern california.
you dumb cluck, ydks! you don't know shite!
millions of californians are moving to denver, las vegas, austin and dallas.
the LOUISIANA quality of life is 1000's times better than southern california.
i repeat: GTFO

OH, YEA!
one more thing.
did you see how grateful joe burrow and his family were towards LOUISIANA and LSU?
including brothers! they were amazed at the love shown to joe from the beginning! jimmy retired because mom was so happy.
tell me the names of others who have ever regretted coming to LSU, baton rouge OR LOUISIANA.
WHEN i lived in ca for over 30 years, i went to parties of people who celebrated louisiana without ever visiting. the music and the food! louisiana has as many visitors from califoria as paris france.
i wore my colors all those years very proudly. our alumni group was fantastic. always heard GEAUX TIGAHS!
O'REALLY, OH, really! i'm guessing your childhood was a nightmare, but, you need to wake up and be grateful!

The only people that like the filthy, litter covered s-hole that BR has devolved into are ignorant and uneducated life long residents that have never lived anywhere else and do not know any better; most have likely never crossed the State border except to go to an away LSU football game and surely have never stepped foot in an LSU classroom. (Or any other college classroom)

About the same as any other city it's size
Is this a joke?
BR's murder rate is outrageously high.
2018 Austin pop. = 970,000
2018 Austin murders = 33
2018 Baton Rouge pop. = 220,000
2018 Baton Rouge murders = 84

Shitty traffic
Are you kidding? Traffic in California is insane. Had a business trip in L.A. last summer. Rental car dropoff was 1.25 miles from the airport. It an hour and 15 minutes to get to the airport.
The only reason we made our flight is that it was on American, so......unexplained delay.

I didn't make an excuse for the traffic problems in BR, I SIMPLY gave him a SOLUTION to HIS problem.
quote:
how long have you lived in Baton Rouge?
Born and raised here, what does that has to do with anything?
quote:
why is it BTR has no loop to take the load off of I-10 around the bridge?
This is something our officials must address and should have addressed long time ago.
quote:
somebody is getting paid off or very inept at their position.
This is a NATIONWIDE problem also, not just a BR problem. The nation as a whole has an inadequate infrastructure.
