Transfers that had been under the tutelage of others prior to coming here.

Year 3 and Myles looks to be continuing the trend.

He’s in year 4 on campus. If he doesn’t have it yet he probably won’t

He is mentally weak and it’s obvious. Don’t know how else to say it.

Can't disagree with this, BUT- Myles Brennan was a Les Miles recruit, there is hope that O breaks the trend of bad QB recruiting from the get go.

Still have to develop the talent, but Brennan may not have it at all.

Another example- See Franks- was supposed to be yet another savior from Les and even Mullen could not tame him.

There is hope for the future, but this year is toast.

Honestly it’s hard to defend Brennan. And he has had forever to get there.

Would be quite surprising now to see him step up.

If he was ever the guy, he would have started in previous years. They would not have brought Burrow in. It’s tough to follow the GOAT, but he is not the answer.

When was the last time outside of Burrow where we had a QB throw over 300 yards?

Why wouldn’t people expect more from a guy that has been here 4 years? His leadership has to be better than “I gave it my all”. That is a participation trophy mentality and not one of a stone cold killer. HE is the one key ingredient to make the offense go. I recall when Herb Tyler got the start as a freshman. He was not the greatest at anything, but he fit well in the scheme and the guy was a leader. Hodson was a leader from day 1. Burt Jones split time bc coach Mac was pig headed and refused to let it rip. Sounds familiar?

That observation is not lost on me, which is why I'm wondering why people think anything would improve with Max Johnson. He's still being taught by our staff who has not homegrown any QB talent.

He's been taught by his super bowl winning quarterback father ...that's why!

Y’all need to chill out.

Yesterday’s performance wasn’t good enough to win but it wasn’t bad.

The defense gave up the most passing yards ever in an SEC game and allowed 44 points. That is a lot to ask your QB to keep up with

You know nothing about football if you believe this. Relative to his age, time on campus, talent around him, and the opponent, that was really bad.

Absolutely no vision or pocket awareness. That isn’t going to be taught to him.

This is so strange that we can have two wildly different interpretations.

Because I see it as Myles killed drives when he should have extended them by not trusting his arm, having no pocket presence, and not making decisions, keeping the defense on the field.

Costello will rarely have a game this season in which he tosses it for less than 400 yards. That is the way Leach runs his offense.

frick the stats. If you watched Brennan yesterday you understand what you saw isn't even close to being good enough to be the guy.

Likewise if you watched the defense, despite their inability to get off the field in the 2nd half, they were the reason we were in the game, creating turnovers and scoring TDs. Did I think the defense played well? No, but if they aren't playing lights out in the front 7, we lose that game 51 - 27.
