In 2010 the defense was Incredible, Stevan Ridley was an NFL caliber back.

JJ was hot shite at QB.

We should have gone 12-1. If Hatcher tackles the WR and not Mo Claiborne and actually covers that deep pass.

Yep.

We also scored 21 pts vs Bama in one half (w/ JJ at QB for most of it).

11-2 is a good season. Would be our best since 2011.

Not only that but it would be one of our best seasons ever. We have only had 17 seasons in the last 100 years of LSU football where we finished a season with 2 losses and no ties or better, even though we played fewer games than we do these days.
Just that an eleven win season seems to be the expectation for many fans for this coming season days a lot about how much this staff has built up the roster and the hires that have been made.
It is going to be a fun season to watch and a great time once again to be an LSU football fan.

Only problem “meddling” with the offense, is doing while the OC is calling plays. (Les Miles). Don’t mess with the OC tempo and rhythm while calling plays.

If the HC has an issue, point out acweakness in defense or wants to make a change, make that point while the team is in defense and have a convo with OC.

As long as it's accompanied with an SEC and/or National Championship.

I love how people are certain how Miles interfered with the offense, without direct evidence mind you, but are incredulous with the idea that this coach could be doing the same thing.

I’m not sure if O does this, not saying he doesn’t. It’s been well documented that each play was given a yes or no through miles. But ok

Who is saying Orgeron has no involvement in the offense?

I'm just wondering why it was ok that this coach is doing it but it's not ok that Miles was doing it. Both have had shitty results.

theoretically, i can absolutely see the HC 'meddling' in what he thinks is not working.

however, part of O's resume was that he would 'hire the best OC in the nation and let them coach"

he tried that philosophy (both points) for the first 3 games of 2017 and then completely abandoned it. Then hired SE (not the best in the nation mind you) so that he could control the situation more closely.

Maybe ask the people who hold conflicting views directly. I can't name a single one personally..

Orgeron is ultra conservative,

not sure people realize this. he will HAVE to change it if he truly wants to beat Bama. He coaches that games specifically not to get blown out, which didnt really work in 2018

Can we just blacklist Coach O’s name from thread titles so not literally every thread with his name in the title turns into the exact same argument as the previous threads about him? It’s tiring.

Shut up already man. Seriously. Fans having high expectations isn't a sign of anything Orgeron is doing.

LSU fans, as a whole, have been expecting 10+ win seasons since 2003. Even those who were "down" on LSU going into 2017 were predicting 8 wins, minimum.

Les Miles was fired because the perception was LSU is a championship caliber program and losing 3 games a year is unacceptable. The expectations haven't changed just because Orgeron is now the coach.

It's so frickin amusing

I think it's therapy for tMinions who have yet to deal with their deep seated rage over Miles being fired and Orgeron being hired. It's better than them kicking a cat, or hurting small children

Well, if they clam up against Bama again this year, we’ll all know why. It won’t be on Ensminger.

Nah, it’s well within their right if they want to argue. I just don’t think we need the same argument repeated everyday.

Miles was openly trying to change plays in the middle of a series. If Dooley doesn't shite his pants LSU loses that debacle of a UT game instead of getting an extra play off because of Miles arguing about the play call. Multiple times they'd show him with a fricking play call sheet on the sidelines. That's a tad more than meddling.

Ask Lane Kiffin did Saban ever meddle in his offense? Heck, watch the video.

You're going to sit here and tell me that wasn't the prevailing thought in 2012, 2013?

It was that very mindset that greased the wheels to be able to nearly make the change in 2015 despite only having three losses that year. Had the prevailing wisdom been that 10 wins was a solid year, the 8-5 season in 2014 (matching his worst) would have been seen as the anomaly it was. But unhappiness, despite solid win/loss records for a few seasons leading up to that did him in.

And much like Buckeye whose hyperbole regarding Burrow forces some to seem like they are bashing the kid, I'm put in a position to seem like I'm knighting for a guy I agreed should have been let go at the end of the 2016 season.
