With a bowl win and a decent season next year he will only be a few wins away from breaking .500. Four or five more decent seasons and he can break .500 in the SEC.

That includes his record as an interim HC at LSU and USC.

We can include those wins as well. He is one game under .500 overall and 13-25 in the SEC.

Why? DO you not think recruits care? Do you not think that opposing coaches care in respect of using it as recruiting fodder? Do you not think that it just may be indicative, overall, in respect of his ability to run a program?

Or, are you just one of those low I.Q. fans that just wants to get drunk and watch some football?!?!

Yep a losing record at one place means you can never improve over time. Whatever happen to that loser the Browns fired? Bill Bellasomething?

I don't think you should count ANY interim coach's record as part of their head coaching record. Doesn't just go for Orgeron.

Interim jobs are completely different than having your own team and staff through an entire off-season and recruiting cycle.

This has nothing to do with O, just in general, it makes more sense to remove interim records.

Yeah, and his assistant, Satan or Saban or something like that.

Do a little research...

He brought the fricking Cleveland Browns to 11 wins and the postseason (and a playoff victory over the Patriots). He was mainly fired for cutting Bernie Kosar and arguments with the ownership over GM responsibilities.

That was their last postseason appearance, much less win.

ETA:

This has nothing to do with Bebe, I'm not taking a side here. I just hate that this shite is always spewed. It makes no fricking sense.

He started at 0-0 when he took the LSU job. I have little interest in what happened at Ole Miss. I got fired from my first job, so do a lot of people. O has looked pretty good so far at LSU and when you use that as your sole evaluation point, he's not nearly as inept as he's continually portrayed by those who had another candidate in mind. You are only damaging the perception of the program because your guy didn't get hired. But, maybe you're just a troll anyway. If so, good job.

Perfect example of a backhanded compliment.

If this were true, why appoint an interim. Just finish the season with assistants doing their jobs and everybody sort of shows up and does their own thing. I think you don't have a clue how a football team, a business, or even a girl scout troupe works. An interim's job, is, arguably, harder than a permanent replacement's job. The preparation is the same, the management is the same, but, you have to earn respect.

I don't have a narrative that I'm trying to project. Its just logical. For any coach for any team.

Good or bad.

If a Spurrier took over for McElwain this year and lost every game like Randy Shannon, should we count that against Spurrier's head coaching record? That would be idiotic. It wasn't his team, it wasn't his staff, it wasn't his system.

So you are saying he is improving?
So you are saying he is on his way up?

Glad finally someone giving O credit.

Oh and in case you didn't know. You suck. Just saying.

Why don't you actually look at that guy's performance there?
