LSU is a public institution and subject to 42 USC 1983. Some would argue that it or a person at LSU violated his constitutional rights by presuming him guilty and thereby punishing him prior to conviction.

Ed Ingram has been in school, has been working out at the LSU facilities, he’s just not allowed to workout or practice with the team. My source is as credible as they come regarding LSU.

How many times have courts agreed that athletic disciplinary measures by public universities implicated the Constitution? Asking for a friend.

Divinity just tweeted he was free to play. Not that that makes it official.

It's a shame that the most accurate and succinct statement of the law gets down-voted. But you're 100% right from a legal standpoint.

This is good news. I would imagine that they ease him in over the next several weeks to be ready for the stretch run. By no means should he just be handed the job back if the other guys are continuing to improve. I really like that other guys are getting plenty of meaningful game snaps. Depth kills.

ETA: how does this get a downvote?
It was easy; I just tapped on the little red "down" arrow

Every link of a tweet on this thread when yuh click on it says “this tweet has been deleted” other than one that says nothing official yet.

I'm sure they're just waiting for the paperwork to be completed to make it official. It broke on a Friday afternoon - the courthouse employees were probably on the way out the door.

This is huge for LSU if it comes to pass.
Would solidify the Oline.
