I just view my job as a fan to suppprt my team.

Coach O was a celebrity as a defensive coach, but had a lot of people turn on him when he got the job.

The lack of football knowledge here is stunning.

I get that everybody has an opinion and this board is a great place for that, but why would anyone have thought that he wasn't the right hire? Especially given that the two other names mentioned were never going to come here?

I'm glad it is working out for him.

He is from Louisiana and he loves LSU.

I wasn't a strong Orgeron fan at the hire. However, once he was hired I wanted him to succeed. We have a fortune in contracts for individuals no longer here. I wanted him to succeed because I don't many years left for another HC failure. As I have stated, I've been following the Tigers since 1962. I waited from 58 to 2003 for a championship. Maybe O will coach us to another in my lifetime.

The man did what miles couldn’t. He put his pride aside and handed the keys to the offense to someone else. Miles would have gone three and out and punted to texas in the final minutes. Coach o deserves a lot of praise.

Hydrating alone does not solve problem. Its much more complicated.

I am glad he got rid of the ancient passing game coordinator and hired Brady.

I will be glad when we move on from Moffit.

He seems to make the necessary moves a year after each other.

He has learned a lot since the Colonel Reb crying yaw yaw video times...he went to the NFL for a bit, and was an interim HC at USC....he said he had to learn not to micro-manage and allow his assistants to do their jobs. He has come a long way!!

Moffit isn’t operating in a vacuum. There are tons of folks working on this stuff with them like Marucci. I agree they need to hydrate better and have better solutions as things arise. Pickle juice and mustard etc

Moffit needs to swallow his pride like Coach Steve E and O hire a young up and coming strength coach assistant with new and innovative strength and conditioning ideas and maybe some better supplements als

He did. He hired Vic Vioria.

In another thread, last week, I was down voted because I said hope the team is hydrating.

All depends on who downvoted you? It could actually be a badge of honor to get downvoted by some of the morons on here!!

I'm a doubter of O's long term success here until he makes the playoffs, wins a natty or more, AND keeps us in contention on a yearly basis. That being said, things are looking up for LSU. We appear to be heading towards the upper echelon where we belong. What people forget is , it's not about doing it and winning over a fanbase as a coach. It's a fluid situation, and you have to maintain performance at a place like LSU. I'm cautiously optimistic that O will prove me wrong. At minimum, a playoff berth is a must this year.

I was never crazy about the hire before. Now I was never one of the “doom and gloom” posters who thought he was going to tank the program into Tennessee levels or anything like that. My opinion of the hire was that we were just going to get more of the same that we had under Les Miles. I figured Orgeron would keep us in that 8 to 10 wins a year range with the offense staying the same old 1970’s 3 yards and a cloud of dust bullshite that simply just doesn’t work anymore in college football.

I’ll give him props for doing what he promised to do by giving us an offense for once. He’s definitely doing all the right things. His only weakness so far has been the ability to get us that sure fire stud OT. We have got to get that position locked down because we are not always going to have a Joe Burrow at the QB position.

This brings me to my second point. I’ve felt for about 5 years this Moffit needed to be replaced. His methods are antiquated and have been passed by. The conditioning of the team was ridiculous last night.

That was not conditioning... that was hydration. I did not see our players gasping for breath and sleep walking out there.

Also I keep seeing that UT had superior conditioning but I dont hear any of our fans talking about UT and their empty RB room due to injuries...
