It's the Duquesne D-line...next week will be a little different.

Duquesne lost 45-3 to a TCU team that went 5-7 last year

Well, we won’t be seeing any more than about 1 quarter of the starters

Yep. It's a team that can beat LSU if they aren't on.

Duquesne is being eaten alive by FSU’s cadence. If our DL jumps offside every time they clap I’m gonna rage.

The left side of that FSU OLine is really really bad even against Duquesne lol. Center has got blown into the backfield on multiple snaps

Yeah, this team isn’t NDSU or old school App St by a long shot.

LSU beat North Texas 51-0 in 1999. Went 3-8

Yeah they are basically an older version of a high school team.

This FSU team is sorry. If we lose to them it will be a long long season.

My thoughts on FSU from following and playing them:

-I don’t think they have what it takes to go into New Orleans and beat LSU on the road, but Norvell has been slowly building a pretty decent foundation at FSU

-They have pretty solid players across the board, but they don’t have the type of gamebreaking A+ difference makers that you’d expect from a program like FSU. They’re RBs are the closest thing they have to a plus level group, but they’re still not as good as the RBs they’ve had in the last. This Oregon transfer looks like a hawse, though, will be curious to see how he performs against bigger defenders, but he’s tossing these little kids off

-Their QB is solid. He’s something like a poor man’s Dak, pretty mobile, pretty accurate, good at the zone read, a good leader. He’s a solid kid who’s tough and will stay in there against the pressure

-Their OL is bigger than they are athletic. They’re pretty decent at run blocking, but they don’t have a whole bunch of guys who can handle athletic speed rushers. Idk what type of DL LSU has, but if it’s big on big, FSU will be able to move the ball. If LSU has some fast athletic DL, which I’d imagine they have, then you can beat their OL

-The defense is where they’ve fallen off the most. They’ve got some decent size at DL, but they don’t have the athletic freaks at DE, LB, and DB that they used to have in their prime. They also run a pretty vanilla scheme. It’s token bend don’t break. They think they can force FGs and win with their offense scoring TDs instead

I think it’ll be a competitive game with it being one score lead for LSU for most of the game, and then I could see a late score making it a double digit win by LSU.

FSU’s defense looks really susceptible on the ground. Middle and edges.

It's a shame Kelly already said we don't really have a stud back this year who could take advantage of that.
